How to the Icon fit compared to the Icon Blacks? Just bought my first pair of blacks and really want to order a pair of shield tips.

 

I can't tell you sorry. I only get shield tips, in 12w they fit perfectly. More comfy for me than the running shoe styles. I don't wear socks half the time

 

I probably have 40 pairs of shoes but rotate the shield tips around 90% of the time

Anybody got some cool ideas for Traditional or wing tip style icons? I'm picking up four new pairs for the season and honestly can't come up with anything I can commit to buying

Here's the pair that I ordered in Feb. and got in 2 weeks. Icon Shield Tips with a white base, blue / black lizard saddle and onyx croc accents.

I found that I wore the same size in black and regular icons, 12 wide

 

And just got my new icons, really excited for these

I think I'm picking 4 out of these 5 but who knows..next week I could have a totally different lineup. I already have wingtips in white/brown, white/white, white/patent navy, white/grey fish scale and white asymmetrical so I'm trying to get some different colors in there. I don't have any traditionals...

My dads just came in wanted to see what that blue looked like before I ordered mine, think I'm still gonna go white and bomber, or that new blue/black print

Here is my Icon collection. Not as flashy as some others here but they go with pretty much any outfit in one way or another. Just gotta pair them with the right belt and colors. I have tried athletic-style golf shoes but they just don't do it for me.

 

These pics are missing my pair of White/Brown Croc Asymmetrical Icons as they live at the beach. I found I had more trouble pairing brown with my outfits than the others. To me brown usually looks better with khaki or lighter color pants/shorts and I guess I need to step up my wardrobe in that department. At the beach I don't put as much effort into it and just wear whatever.

 

Cleaned them up today but I need to get some gray polish and whitener.

Got these a couple weeks ago for my final semester of college golf. Best decision I ever made, these are incredibly comfortable and look awesome in school colors. Won my first tournament in them earlier this week.

My first pair of Shield Tips are arriving tomorrow--went kind of basic. White base with Onyx Croc for both the saddle and the accent, and black laces. I ordered the same size as my DryJoys, as the Icons are made on the same last (and should fit the same).

 

Love the way the blue/black lizard looks in some of the other examples in the thread. I'm already getting ideas for the next pair.

I blew out the right toe in the white with Black saddle stripe but my local Cobbler put it back together for me. Good as new!

Question for you my Myjoys guys. How often do they update the patterns/skins?

 

Im wanting to get some white/navy shield tips but not crazy about the shark skin that is available right now, would rather have lizard/croc/gator and plain leather is just plain lol

Matt, it's usually once or maybe twice a year for new prints. And new ones were released not that long ago. I'll try and find out if there's anything on the horizon for navy prints, but it maybe too far out right now. FYI, that navy shark is pretty nice looking in person. :-)

Went back and saw that pair it does look better in those pics. I love those shield tips and that might be the way I go. I've not been a traditional Navy blue guy ever but it is growing on me in a hurry and looks really sharp unless you go full Kuchar. Gibbons is blowing out his current shoe inventory so I will talk to him about his next line to see if there is going to be something similar to the shield tip otherwise myjoys it is. About to order a couple belts too.

I really like them, and I wasn't sold on the shark pattern either initially. it is pretty subtle in person.

 

You could also just go with patent navy.
