Just picked up four more pairs from FJ. Ignore the sneakers in the back. I'm really liking the patent leather...

Every time I see those bomber ones they look absolutely perfect to me, I'm putting in my order next week, that would get me to 7 but I have 2 pairs of the same white ones

Lol I've designed all 4 of those for a white/navy look. The bottom pair will be the ones i end up ordering once we close on our condo purchase. If you end up doing your name on the shoes the gray color in script looks really good

I was debating on it that's why it's only on 2 of them. What's the reason why not though?

Had a friend a couple years back design 5 or 6 pair. Some had his initials and some had his name. Long story short each pair got about 6-10 rounds on them and he took meticulous care of them always storing them with shoe trees,etc.

These shoes looked basically mint. He ended up wanting to sell them and got WAY below what they would have went for if they were not personalized.

 

So from an investment standpoint it's a bad play.

If you're going to keep them for a long time and don't care about recouping money down the road then go for it if you like it.

LOL, same people that buy used underwear I guess.

 

I wouldn't put my name on them just because I already have tags in my clothes my mom sews in. ;-)

 

Seriously, do what you want, they are custom after all, but "Hi, I'm _________" is still a good way to let people know who you are.

They are basically the same price from FJ or any major retailer if you custom order them. Your best bet is ordering from a course Pro, or someone with a FJ account, that can give you a friendly discount. It always helps to have friends in the right places. :-)

I always scower eBay for icons in my size . I wouldn't call them buying "used " because I'm looking for wrong sizes people bought etc . Occasionally their stories overruns on their or shooed with 1-3 rounds that people just don't like .

 

I'd never buy used underwear though

It's Silver Metallic base. The accents and saddle are Pearl Lizard.

Nothing wrong with you buying them that way at all. But if you were to buy them through FJ and went through the whole MyJoys process with the intent that you may just turn around and sell them, then I just think it's a ridiculous waste of time and resources.

Thanks guys; yeah bomber taupe is def what I was looking for. My wife was asking me about a father's day gift and that's where my mind went... I'll ask at my club we carry FJ so hopefully one of the guys can help me out / or I'll call myself if there's no difference...

I got to get me some of these, great looking shoes. Know nothing about them, what is the difference between "MyJoy" and "Icon", same thing?
