Awesome thread guys, this is going to get expensive. Quick question (again) on sizing. I tried the 10.5M and the 11.0M in the FootJoys DryJoys Tour (the $189 ones at PGA Superstore). The 11s felt like I had a little too much room (big toe a little ways from the end) and the 10.5s were “snug” (big toe close to the end) but I had a little room in the toe box. Being the Icons are custom, I really don’t want to get this wrong. I currently have the Freestyles in an 11.0M but I feel that’s a totally different shoe. I also have an old pair of DryJoys (don’t know the model) in a 10.5M and they fit about the same as the new DryJoys Tour in the same size.

 

Just curious what others have done if you’ve run into this situation. Thanks in advance.

 

I get mine in 12W .. my running shoes are Nike 12.5, some dress shoes for me are 13 .. so I would get them 1/2 size under your normal size as the leather gives a little of course

Your post has got me excited for my MyJoys to arrive. Our Club Pro ordered mine on the 10th of January. Yours took 21 days to arrive...my 21st day should hopefully be tomorrow :)

I have a pair that look a lot like those—onyx croc for the saddles and accents. You’re going to love ‘em. Great shoes.

That's a good combo, but how about a little extra something with the Black Small Lizard 832 print on the saddle? I have a pair of all white shield tips with patent accents and gator saddles that are very nice looking. Good luck! :-)

Thanks for the reply/reassurance. I want an all black look, but couldn’t find a picture online with black patent on a black shoe. Figured someone with a lot of My Joy experience could chime in. My thought on the saddle, if they offered the a black croc pattern, I would go in that direction. Lizard seems too basic, so if I want to be basic, I should be really basic with the smooth black.

I keep going to the FJ site to see if they add new options and they have added a few. But I can’t find any kind of dark gray option. Justin Thomas was rocking some this week but not sire what the exact color was.

I’m usually not one to criticize anyone’s custom shoe ideas but let me just say that “sometimes less is more”. Two competing patterns is just not a great way to go.

I have found that I wear the same size in the Icons that I do in DryJoys. Before I ordered mine, I called FJ customer service, and they confirmed that the sizing between those two would be the same.

Do they even make icons this year? Couldn’t find them on website. Correct me if I’m wrong I believe the customs are built on the icon base while the blacks are a little different which would explain the prices.

I actually called FJ and talked to them about sizing, they suggested going off the Pro/SL model for sizing as suggested back in the post.
