Ouzo I speak from my experiences at #insidetmag and what how I benefitted from lofting up. I went up 2 degrees and I am bombing the ball. If your ever in san diego let me know and I can show you with either my 10.5 or 14* sldr how much loft helps.

I have seen a big improvement in this area. The low spin and increase loft has made me hit more fairways. I'm sure they will see that as well.

The two problems I have with this.

TM said nothing about dispersion as noted above. I hop some of the people who don't sell out to distance alone put their dispersion specs up here as well.

Some of the guys have never been custom fit before so it's an unfair advantage to TM. Anyone who gets a custom fitting with any OEM driver will gain yards over something bought off the rack obviously. Way to blow money for nothing TM.

Still curious about overall stats but only from the people who GO there with a custom driver to begin with. Any others are irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.

On another note I hope you all enjoy the trip I'd give anything for a warm round of golf right now.

Nothing wrong with trying to keep TM honest. A true Cally/TM shootout would have been cool to see. There were a couple other guys who would have been nice to see go as well. Great thread. Not rocket science here guys. TaylorMade created a driver that is super low spin. Really low! The vast majority of people launch the ball too low and with too much spin to maximize their distance potential with their existing swings. Because the driver is SO low spin, you can go up in loft and get higher launch angles while still maintaining a low spin rate. It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

TaylorMade isn't saying that at identical launch conditions, the SLDR is longer than anything else. It's not. If you had any other driver that produced the same launch conditions vs. SLDR they would be exactly the same distance. However, the SLDR is able to produce launch conditions other drivers simply cannot produce because of the CG location. That equals better launch numbers and MORE distance. The distance is coming from launch parameters, not new face technology or more ball speed.

And I play a SLDR so I'm not hating!
