I was lucky enough to visit The Oven yesterday, and got to hit the Vapor Pro's. The hype is real. Very solid feel, and a gorgeous look at address. Reminded me of my Mizuno Mp-33's. And that's probably as high of praise I could give a club.

They didn't have any in yet. Only Vapor Pro and Speed. I hit the Speed long irons, but didn't like them much. Not made for me though.

this may have been discussed but after reading through roughly 100 pages about these irons I can't seem to find what I am looking for. First of all i keep hearing that they are 5 pieces, but after looking at the cutaway I only count 4. the iron head the rzn insert, the face, and the little blade looking "sound tuning" piece. what is the 5th piece. I wonder if nike will offer them at a per iron price so a combo can be made with the pro combo long and pro short irons?

Yes on part 2 of your question. ....designed to blend , you will be able to easily choose setup......pro blade 7-p , PC 4-6 with speed 3 iron I'm thinking for myself.

Good find, and thanks to adfrick for this. I find it odd the Pro is 60* both the other drivers are 58.5* regarding lie angle. I'd think the Pro would match the 58.5 and the Speed would be more upright based on assumed target segments.

Because they will sell more PC's then blades. More players fall in that category. Just like Ap2's are more then the MB's.

Plus, the PCs have the thinner face welded into the body, like the Covert Forged. Add the RZN cavity fill, it's a more expensive process to make the club.

The Pro Combos ONLY are for irons 2-7, right? The 8-PW in the Pro Combo set are the same thing as the Vapor Pro (blades)?

Another way of asking is, can you order the RZN cavity fill irons in 8-PW?

I just bought the pro combo's used so i can get feedback from everybody on the new vapor irons. Don't want to buy $1000 clubs without hitting them either.

Not a dumb question.

The 8-pw, aw in the PC set are actually different. They are muscle cavity blade. I'll leave it to the tech guys to explain the differences between those and the mm blades, but they are indeed different. I assume the muscle cavity blades are a little larger and more forgiving than the pure pro blade. But I could be totally off.

However you can easily swap in the pro blades if desired. You will just need to be cognizant of the lofts as the blades in the PC set are 1 degree stronger than the pro blades.

Also, fwiw the pro blades do not offer an aw. The shortest iron offered is a pw.

I missed the fact there is an AW for the PCs on the spec sheet and it's 51 deg...may need to just get 3-Aw and 2 raw wedges
