I was told by Nike when I messaged and ask them a few months back that they said it will relase on 4.1.

No news of it anywhere since it;s not "officially" released. I am sure Nike will post, tweet, etc to get the word out on these things.

I am sure they want to sell out of this promo.

i played the back 9 yesterday with a flex driver set to 10.5N with my speeder 757 evo 7.2x...dear lord i'm in love. i hit every fairway on the back and had multiple holes where i had reached portions of the fairway i've never seen before. i was fitting people saturday --- not a single person sniffed the flex b/c of the ulta-low spin properties (most mid handicappers don't need that)...and was told by our regional sales rep that they have sold less than 10 that he knows of. mostly speeds, some pros. to each their own i guess

the pro is out, the flex is in. i have to sell my pro before i can buy the flex tho...if anyone's interested.

It's funny how different areas work. I've only sold one Speed driver so far. Everything else has been the Pro head. Crazy.

i'd be willing to bet the swings up here in the northeast aren't void of winter rust...might explain the swings i've been seeing lol

I also couldn't see why anyone would go for the Speed when they could get the Pro with about the same forgiveness. However, I also tested the Flex and cannot believe how easy I found it to hit. Long and straight was the order for the entire time I was swinging. I bought one on Saturday, just waiting on it to come in. I will either have the Speeder TS 6.2 or the Whiteboard 70 to put in it as well.

Hey Guys!! Finally have a few vapors in the Bag!!! I ended up with the Speed 3 wood. I hit the flex a tad longer but the feeling wasting there?? I dont know, Im weird. BUT I love the Speed!! I also picked up a speed hybrid. Didn't hit it before, just kind of went in the store, didn't look at anyone or anything, went right to the rack, bought it and left This may have been a mistake. When I took it out, I didn't love it. I hit my 910 hybrid about the same distance and straighter...I think I was swinging poorly as well and wanting it to be amazing. I am going to give it another couple of range sessions and also demo a flex and see what is the deal

gioguy - I think I saw your BST post....I wish I could purchase that thing!! The Vapor Pro Driver is next on the list of items to buy. Only if the better half could understand that i need to replace all of the woods at once. Not one every couple of weeks hahaha.

Also, do you guys know if you can order individual clubs from nike? I am toying with the idea of creating a combo set as time passes. I am looking for a 7 (or 8) thru PW in the vapor pros. Thoughts? I threw up a WTB add as well.

some amateurs don't need to spend an extra $100 for less spin; and most ams coming from larger headed drivers think the bigger head inspires confidence (ie you can't miss with it).

yes, you can order individually thru nike (most any retailer should be able to do this for you) --- i ordered my set 3-7 VPC and 8-PW VPro...i then ordered my 2i VPC separately...easy peazy lemon squeezey

Noh, Oleson, Lovemark, and a few others from what I have heard. TW has a few proto Flex's with glued hosels, but is still using this version.

Thank you for the assist. I wonder if when he gets going again if he will use the flex or the pro version that is built to the same footprint of the flex. I just know that the new Vapor series is probably the best that Nike has done to this point and in my opinion is nicer to hit than anything I've tried so far. Loving the Vapor collection.

I'm wondering the same thing but I have like $275 in Nike.com gift cards. Can you order custom through Nike or does it have to be a retailer? All that Nike seems to sell online is the the stock pre-built stuff.

One of the guys we met at the Oven was out in my area a few weeks ago so I had him out at my course, he personally builds some of Tiger's prototypes and said that they have sent Tiger some really good drivers and were shocked when he rejects them in favor of his current model which isn't the easiest to hit. He said Tiger is just so used to seeing certain things both from address and in flight etc.. that getting him to change is very difficult.

He is quite stubborn from the sounds of it. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him get into one of the better drivers at some point, but who knows. I'd just like to see him swinging the club again.

I think in the uncertainty of Pros vs. Ams bagging the Flex has more to do with the adjustability for the ams. Pros can get almost anything custom built to their specifications, and most obviously do. Ams obviously don't really have that luxury, so if they feel like they need it, they'll go with the flex.

Super nice project: Proto Tai Flex driver. A Black face works great with a single white line like the hybrid.

 

Tiger is fanatical about his equipment. His feel and visual awarness are unmatched.
