I played 18 holes with the driver and shaft. Love the head, but the shaft not a big fan, after only 24-25 holes.

Maybe I was used to the flight and feel of the tour ad Di 6s after using for a year or more.

Felt soft and whippy-ish for me. Even thought it is 65-66 grams I didn't feel it was firm for me.

Unlike the tour ad Di, that shaft felt stable from grip to tip. M

The stock Diamana felt "loose" after more time with it. Didn't like to also in the 915 heads.

Will try a couple more rounds with it, If no go. Will try back to TiNi and trusty Deep Impact.[/quote]

I have it in a 60X in the pro and I love it. S was to whippy but the X is not! Just have to get used to the little Kick it has and I like it better than the Tini in a 60X. The S+ is a bullet off the face!

Has anyone besides me had issues with spin in these heads??

Ive always loved nike, used VR Tour, VR Pro, Vr pro LE, and covert 2.0.

Pro head (with an original Whiteboard 63x) was spinning around 3400, flex was around 3000. I only got 3 out of about 20 under 3000 rpm. Sucks because the sound and feel are fantastic.

Hate the feel of my sldr 430, but you cant argue with results....

The Flex has been one of the lowest spinning, if not the lowest spinning heads I have used. If you're spinning it at 3K+ it might just be a really bad fit for your swing, or a bigger issue.

But the SLDR I have is consistently at or below 2500. Launch and ball speed were similar but I just could not get the spin down.. idk. I just wont be getting it. Not bashing it cause it felt and sounded awesome, just didnt produce the results the SLDR did. Just not for me I guess!

Like I said, could just be a bad fit for you (like the Covert 2.0 was for me). Did you hit it outside? Did you hit it on Trackman? Could have just been a LM readings were off that day, unless you were hitting your SLDR on the same exact LM during the same session around 2500.

I was hitting the Vapor pro and flex with the whiteboard I brought with me, SLDR W/ stock shaft (didnt have mine to take the store), r15 with stock shaft, 915 d3 w/ rogue 60x 110 msi (stock option) against each other on the launch monitor at golfsmith.

Edit: I was averaging 2500 with the stock sldr shaft, 3200-3400 with the pro, 3000-3100 with the flex.

Edit edit: I'm not happy about it. Really wanted to get back in the Nike driver game.
SS is right at 117 and the SLDR with the stock shaft was still producing the best numbers followed by the 915. Couldn't stand the r15 so I stopped hitting it. Trust me, I wanted to blame the monitor because I loved everything about the vapors except the numbers..

Homestly hate the feel of the sldr 430, but I cant argue with the results.

What's interesting in Mark Crossfields reviews is the G30 is 15 yards longer than the Vapor Pro. I know your miles may vary but I really wonder about the Vapor Pro. Every bit of me wants to love and sure seems to work for the Nike staff, but I may need to seriously get fit and not just try the stock shaft as a baseline in numbers before trying out some shafts at my club builder's.

Wow, it seems like the consenus is that the S+ is weak. I got mine stock knowing that I would use the Proj X black shaft from my CT 2.0, but thought I would find out everyone's thoughts. I haven't been able to hit my Pro yet, too much snow on the ground, but hopefully soon I can, if not I will be in Florida mid March and will put it thru its paces then.

What shaft is a great pairing with the Pro? Maybe I will get another shaft to test with the Black shaft. My SS is about 108.

For me the stock shaft was terrible, a little background, ss varies between 115-118 with high spin. They only had a stiff flex stock S+ and I could not hit it to save my life. Every swing was terrible with spin somewhere in the 3500 range.

Well being that my G30 was cracked, I went in to the store to send back to Ping, I wanted to see how the vapor performed against the G30 LS and 915 D3.

Luckily one of the employees had my gamer shaft (Tour AD DI 7x) in his covert tour and let me try it in the Pro. Wow what a difference it was putting in a high end shaft. Spin quickly dropped down to around 2300 and the feel was fantastic. I had a huge gain in distance and overall performance vs the S+.

With Vapor Pro/Pro Combos already in the bag I had to pull the trigger and couldn't be happier. My first round with the Vapor Pro in the bag I hit 11/13 fairways with no distance or accuracy loss.

The smaller foot print of the vapor head compared to the G30 along with the feel and sound make this a real winner for me. Like with any club get it fit with a shaft that fits you, you won't be disappointed.

I picked up the Flex this weekend and was surprised it was the same size as the pro figured it to be small but both the pro and flex looked so good, sound and feel of the flex was beyond ideal. The stock shaft however didnt feel great initially, havent got a chance to take it outside but it just feels loose and was getting much better feel with some of the custom offerings they had however the numbers were the same i wasnt picking up or losing any spin as the stock shaft performed as well as any of the others. The guy at the store was nice enough to give me a few of the shafts from the covert fitting bag since they were about to get the new demos for the Vapor in to take outside this week, Im hoping i get used to the stock and it performs as well as the others so i dont have to order a $150 shaft but as of now it looks like im going to be dropping some $ for the Speeder.

So, I have a similar experience and am searching for a reason to pull the SLDR 430 out of the bag. but at PGASS and GG on separate days, results were much of the same. Low launching with way too much spin. Was launching in single digits, spinning in the 3k's. My background: SS 110-115mph. low ball hitter, low spin w/ current set up of SLDR 430, but hate the inconsistency on mis-hits and don't especially love the feel.

Any suggestion for shaft pairings with the Pro to launch higher, spin less?

Anybody have a suggestion with a shaft pairing to

I was kind of hoping the stock shaft fit me as well, don't need to spend any more money after buying new irons, driver, etc. I am going to try the stock shaft once it gets warm and see what happens. With my swing speed, to be honest, I don't think it matters much. I have tried a lot of aftermarket shafts, and they all perform about the same for me, it comes down to feel.

I think Mark plays the stiff shafts in his drivers. I think there is a huge discrepancy between the stiff vs x stiff in the Blueboard. I also think other options exist ( such as last years kk tini) that have lower torque #s
