Anyone try the D+ vs the S+? Curious to see if its a big difference.

Guess you missed my reply. You might want to test the Matrix Ozik X4 or X3. High launch + low spin. Fantastic shaft. What shaft is in your SLDR 430?

Sorry, sneaky. I guess my attention was ho'ing too lol.

I've only got the stock speeder (57g I think) in there. When I did some light testing before I bought the 430, the stock shaft performed as well (and better) than the other options in the fitting cart, so I didn't stray from that. But after a season, I'm a little disenchanted with the inconsistencies of the 430 and the harsh misses.

Obviously this thread is more geared towards the drivers; but I got a Vapor Speed fairway in today, shaft going in will either be an attas elements dk 8x or Kuro kage 80x proto. Even though Nike increased the footprint of the fairways the head, at least to me, looks perfect - and I' someone who is very particular and does not get along with overly large club heads.[attachment=2602729:image.jpg]

Another round with the Flex, this is longer than any club and I actually get roll out. I'm playing it at 9.5 and I hit a few over 300, which is good gor me and this time of year.

I'm playing my Vapor pro D3. I didn't really like the flex fairways, just didn't have the same feel like my 815 14*. I didn't even hit the speed fairways because I really didn't care for the foot print.

Toddy, if you feel the shaft lagging too much or have a quick transition, get the D+ 60 X. If you feel the S+ 60 X is adequate, keep playing it! The D+ 60 X is nice but certainly more demanding than the S+ 60 X - both are beautifully stable. I found the S+ 60 S to be unstable..

But that one with the vapor logo is sweet. Of course matches my clubs and driver. Maybe will be cheaper on eBay later on or something.

Lesmond, I could never really get into the Nike bags as much as I'd love too! I found the carbon gray and "lime" hoofer at my local golf shop that I'm going to pick up tomorrow with 14 way dividers. The "Lime" looks just like the volt. I just can't get over how much I like Ping bags.

I saw that bag last time I was at Golf Galaxy and the lime looking like the Vapor volt was the first thing I thought of. I have the same bag now but in black/charcoal/red (5 way not 14) and really like it, if I can find one cheap enough I'll def by the same thing again but in lime. Gotta love Ping bags, I haven't found anything near as nice. I'd love to hear how the 14-way model deals with clubs jamming up, but that's for another thread...

Went for my 915 D3 v vapor pro shoot out last night.
Currently game a G30 (tour 65 stiff) which I found just left too many yards on the table.

The 915 with rogue was not a good fit and gave me pretty much the same distance with worse dispersion. Didn't try different shafts as it was always the vapor I had my eye on.

Next up was the vapor with the stock s+ shaft set to 9.5. Straight away I gained 25 yards but the spin was on the high side. We swapped out the s+ for the d+ 60g and upped loft to 10.5. Distance stayed the same but the spin dropped 400rpm. Close, but the fitter felt we could do better so put in the d+ 70g. As they would say in Vegas, winner winner chicken dinner. Spin dropped right to where we wanted and distance went up.

Feel was very solid, ball flight was penetrating and distance was everything I hoped it would be.

Needless to say the Ping is gone and I am eagerly awaiting delivery of the vapor.

Can't decide on which Diamana to go with at 107-111. Thinking D+ 60x...but I wonder if it'll be too much for me. Basically between that and the S+ in the same weight/flex.

Anyone speak to the Launch/Spin diff between the s60x and the d60x? Like 1.5* launch and 200 spin?

Obviously you swing faster than me but if before the fitting you had told me I would end up with the d+ 70g I would have laughed as I thought it would have been far too much shaft for me.

I hate Nike golf. I had 3 VR Ltd's over the years, Covert 1.0, VR Pro II, OG VR, VR blades, OG Pro Combos, VR 52 wedge, two 001, and can't forget the SQ fairway which was amazing.

Alright so I will admit I always tried Nike and had an open mind about their equipment. Then the VR Pro combo irons come out and they don't make the damn things in lefty. The only irons they offered were the blades (hated the small grooves) and the cavities which I wouldn't play. I was so damn bitter about this I literally have held a grudge towards Nike. Oh and they make their shoes way to wide now, but I can get over the shoes.

Anyways, today I ordered a Vapor Pro and sold my G30. I feel like I have entered the dark side. I loved my G30 it was very straight and long, but can this driver be a VR Ltd meets Covert? If so I think I will have to give in and get back to some Nike in my bag.

I ordered mine with a S+ 60x so I hope that does the trick. If not i will throw in a different shaft, but thought I would try it.

I can't believe I just bought a Nike driver again!
