I'll be totally honest. I did not get fitted and I didn't even try the DG. I ordered these sight unseen just by doing research on this site and the Internet. I spent hours studying and reading about it and that's how I decided on the PXi. I've always played stock shafts but this time I really wanted something that I picked and it has really worked out. My scoring average this year was 68.3 through 110 rounds with 2012 pro combos with stock shafts so I'm anxious to see what I can do with these since I've added so much distance. My wife has the 2014 pro combos with stock shafts and I seem to hit those well too although they are regular flex. I guess I could've saved myself a bunch of research by just getting fitted but in Canada, Nike stuff seems to take forever to be available for fitting and I'm really impatient so i just gambled.

I'm playing a full bag of vapor pro 3-PW now with PXi 6.0. Absolutely best combination of iron and shaft that I've ever had. Hitting it longer further and straighter than even my previous pro combos.

How far do you hit a typical 7iron? In the VPC loft category...

7 iron was 158 yards average with 2012 pro combo stock shafts. I'm hitting the vapor pro 7 iron 165 yards average with PXi 6.0. This is actually the first time I have ever got custom shafts and not played stock shafts. I definitely know I was playing the wrong shafts before

Guys I noticed the gain in distance with my Vapor Pros too.
7 iron now averages 175 yards, my amp cell pro irons with same DG SL S300 shaft averaged about 160 yards.
The ball definetly seems to launch a bit higher and carry a bit longer, might be due to the weaker lofts of the Vapors

So what is causing the distance gains in the VPC? Loft is 1* stronger than the VR PC, I believe but I'm seeing that the VPC is 8-10 yards longer? The VPC seems like it would be somewhat similar to Rocketbladez Tour in performance. When I changed from s56 to Rocketbladez Tour I didn't see any distance gain/loss. I'm not disputing the distance gains that guys are seeing, but I'm just curious as to how it's happening.

I am not seeing gains in my VPC, but I am hitting them the same distance as my CF irons. I attribute it to heavier shafts, which gives me a better strike and better flight, not as high.

When I first hit the DG pros on the 14 pro combos i loved them from day 1. Played rifle shafts then ctapers. Ctapers to me felt like boards compared to the DG pro. I am a high ball hitter, that was the reason for the ctapers, but the DG pros just felt amazing! To me the same ball flight as the ctapers and 100 times better in the feel department! I currently game the vapor pro combos in the x100 DG pro shaft!!

saw them for the first time this weekend. they all look really good despite the coloring. hit the combos and they felt good but hard for me to tell inside. playing vr pro now but will probably end up getting mizunos. I do like nike's innovative approach though. not sure if that black insert is removable as people seem to be speculating about. looked like it was pretty seamlessly fused to the club.

I am playing the vapor pro and I can attribute my distance gains to the shaft. I'm fairly certain I was playing the wrong shaft before.

Launch is pretty high. They feel softer than the old DGS3. I've got to get a few more rounds in before I can fully make my mind up on how I like the DG Pro.

haha Im sorry, but half a swing weight point is pretty hard to notice. do you have the same shafts as the ap2s? The overall weight is probably different and what is feeling off to you.

Maybe thats the reason, in the AP2 i use stock shaft true temper S300 and in VPC DGPRO S300, i hav other set PC 2014 with DGPRO X100 but these feels heavier than VPC too.

Nope. I'm a builder. I'm only 39 years old but when I turn 50 I will probably do the Monday qualify for the shaw charity classic here in Calgary on the champions tour. By then I should be close to retirement and have some extra time. Ha

I definitely enjoy the higher flight in the longer irons. Around the 8 iron I start getting a low toss into the green. Almost like I'm playing bags with the ball. Kind of cool the difference in ball flight.

Like many I would say I hit these the same as my CF and definitely longer than the pro combo. Obviously because it the larger head.

If that's really the case, I may just about divorce the old lady and marry these clubs.

You can take this for what it's worth but my shop told me that PXi would be $50.00 per club and would do it for $25.00 for me. I think $25.00 per club is where it should be.

I have tried the x100 and steelfibers in the VPC and can't seem to get something that feels right.

Going to find someone to take these off my hands. PM if interested at 2 degrees up and 1/2 over.

Finally got to hit my VPC'S outside today, I must say those who called them easy to hit weren't exaggerating. I have VPC in 7-4 irons and they feel great but are so easy to hit. Nice high launch and are great with the UST Recoil 125's in them.
