It was 55 here today and I was able to get outside and hit my VPC irons again, loving them more each time I hit them. Only issue is I have the 712U 3 iron and may go with the 712U 4 iron, I hit the 712 better than the VPC 4 iron, I have the XP95 in the 712, much easier to elevate the long iron. I might try a lighter shaft in the 4 iron.

I am getting older, harder to elevate the long irons the way I used to, and I cannot hit hybrids.

Any thoughts on adding vapor speed?

I am going to try it, but I did not like the look of how big it is, I love my 712, very forgiving and feels great.

I am going to hit the 4 a few more times, every other iron I hit great, so maybe have to get used to the smaller long iron.

Got word that the Vapor Speed irons are on backorder until 12/22, so I cancelled my 5 iron and switched it to the VPC 5 iron.

Was looking at another thread around here about the VPCs. They seem to be 1/4" shorter by most manufacture measurement methods than what Nike states.

This would put the stock lengths of the VPC set at the same length as AP2s and 1/4" longer than i25s. Is this correct?

Is it safe to assume this extra 1/4" is the same across all lines? Asking because I was thinking about Speed long irons...and they run different stock lengths.

I'm not up to speed (no pun intended) on nikes new measuring as of this year. But I can confirm that the vpc are same as the ap2, i verified in a golf Galaxy last week.

I believe The speeds are the same length as last years coverts (cast), but the catalog may say they are slightly longer because Nike changed the way it measures this year. Does that help? Someone will chime in Im sure.

Apparently there is a shortage of stock worldwide, I have been dealing very closely with Nike reps here.

I know what u mean, the volt does look good, but if I am honest the quality of the paint fill seems much better now compared to the standard volt.
I prefer the glossy finish.

I was told 12/1 and then 12/8 for the 2 irons. I'm honestly surprised that there wasn't enough of them made. Probably shocks me because I thought this site had the only people hitting 2 irons at all hahaha

Hi everyone. Well, I received the Discount Dan's Black Friday/Cyber Monday email yesterday. Dang it! Previously I'd contemplated getting a set of VPC with PXi, although I've only owned 1 set with PXi and sold them in less than a month (long story, the irons and shafts were fine, I liked them a lot and may talk myself into taking the plunge as I type this!). I had VR PC this year and liked them fine also, with stock DG Pro S300. I'd be interested in getting impressions of DG Pro stiff vs regular.

FWIW, my driver swing speed is low-mid 90s last time I tested that, a couple years ago. Occasionally I'm told "you really swung fast" but a lot of times those are my bad swings. I probably have a similarly fast iron downswing on occasion. When I'm hitting my irons better, I'm told "that was a smooth swing, you didn't' rush". If only it was an easy matter to make yourself commit those swings to memory, lol. I play 7 iron from 150 (like the average golfer in early 40s) and PW 115-120. I've hit the VPC indoors only so it's hard to know how accurate those readings are. What impressed me most was my dispersion was pretty strong, according to the monitor. Hit PW a few times about 115, then when I'd warmed up a little, hit couple closer to 125. Hit 8 iron in the 138-140 range, also on par with my historical distance.

Again I'm curious as to the benefits of going to R300. Lighter weight for one. Or, how about getting S300 soft stepped?

Well I have the VPC and vapor pros and the VPC are like cheating. I think the VPC will stay in the bag.

I went ahead with Vapor Speed on R300 shafts. It performed very well on a raining day! I'm so impressed but might return it for Pros or PC. I love my short game irons with Scor Golf from 42-46-50-54-58 so might need more forgiven from PC than Pros, right?

I have not sarted to use my VPC and the Black PVD gone in some parts of 4 iron and 7 iron. Do you have ome suggestion for recover black color? What kind of paint do i have to use?

Help me, i love black - volt scheme, and calling to nike isnt option for me because im outside USA.

It's odd the black is coming off some irons, I have hit mine about 10 range sessions and the irons still looks like they were new.

Anyone who's hit this combo, or had experience with PXi shafts, appreciate any insights. I've hit one set of irons with the PXi, did the shaftfit online to validate (however realistic that is) and now anxiously await my fate.

I'm going with the same combo. I'm lefty so I have a bit of a wait ahead of me so I look forward to your feedback.
