Does anyone on here play at Point O Woods? I haven’t gotten out there for about 2 decades.

 

Haven't played it in over 30 years, but...it was always a good routing, and now that the trees are even bigger, I'm sure it's still great.

 

Especially, #9 from the back tees. One outstanding par 3

FWIW - I caddied there BITD, and always loved the layout. Solid golf holes. And, if I remember correctly, they build a super nice short game area along the drive on the way into the club.

I took home my second piece of crystal of the year with a win in our four-ball match play championship yesterday. I shot 74 with a 35 on the back to capture a 3&1 victory!

Took that trip this year. Hope I get to go back again. I thought Turnberry was the hardest of all the courses with the Gorse lined fairways. Carnoustie was my favorite course. Padrig was shooting an Open commercial so they had all the Sunday pins out. If anyone ever has a chance to play in Scotland then do it. Can’t say enough good things about the whole experience

 

Doing some purging today, forgot I saved all this stuff. Been 7 years, when I look at this stuff, memories are as vivid as yesterday.

Played Oakland Hills South a few years ago and took the biggest divot on the first tee box that you can imagine. I was so embarrassed but ended up paring the hole. Great Course!

October 2006. My now wife(we were just dating at the time) is in Chicago to run a marathon. I'm at a friend's wedding, but in the bar most of the night, because the Tigers are playing Game 1 of the world series. To this day, my wife thinks I was rude, and that it wasn't their fault for scheduling a wedding in October.

 

August is a safe month as well.

Lewerke was atrocious today...very surprised at his decline this year, couple folks in the stands were saying he is playing with an injury.

Michigan played a good game. Of course that wasn't enough for Harbaugh and Winovich. Had to go low. Oh well.

Sticking microphones in players and coaches mouths after an emotional game is silly.

Always had a ton of respect for how Dantonio gets his guys up for game's. They were in this game until the long TD by Jones deflated them. I'm just a fan whose glad this has become a true rivalry.

Yeah, I hear you on Winovich....I kind of wished he'd have gone a different direction with his comment and let the brother thing die, but OK. Honestly, it's just nice to be part of a rivalry again. UM has had a lost decade in football, actually maybe more than that.

 

All that said, as UM fan, this weekend was the football equivalent of a Gordie Howe hat trick. UM win, Sparty loss, Ohio loss, Detroit win....

No question everything fell Michigan's way this weekend. I enjoyed watching the Purdue/OSU game....until I remembered that Sparty plays them next!! Purdue looked great and OSU looked just awful.

 

Read this morning that Lewerke has an injured throwing shoulder. Then why the hell leave him in there? It was obvious that he couldn't throw the ball. I can't imagine Lombardi could have done much worse.

I did a 3-wood fitting at Carl's today and walked away with a Cobra F8 with an Aldila Blue 2kxv 70s. I'm super pumped as I haven't used my current one in two months due to my struggles with it.

 

I also hit the Rogue, M3/M4, and Titleist TS2/TS3, but nothing had the combination of accuracy and length as the F8. Nice high draws carrying around 250 ?
