I know this must have come up already in this thread, but 75 pages is a bit much to read over..just wondering if anyone who purchased their j15 cb's from last year have replaced them with new offerings from this year (non-Bridgestone irons) or are they that good that Hoing is not needed this year?

I just found a set and I've been eyeing them for a while so looking forward to hitting them when all the snow disappears.

Short Answer: No Way, I love the J15cb's

Long Answer: I've played many, Many different sticks from Mizuno, Cleveland, Adams & Ping. I love the J15 cb's! They are everything I've searched for in a club Head!

You must get the correct shaft ( no matter the mfg.)! When "talking" sticks I think it's best to separate the shaft from the head. Everyone is a little different and you should try different shafts when testing, The Head remains consistent.

Maybe I've reached that point in my life where the planets have aligned (Wife, Kids, College, Work, Time, Age, Life...) and the search is over for me. I still look (WXR'er for life) but have no intention to purchase any more irons.

If you have the Time, Money & game. Enjoy the search for the Holy Grail to your game! I believe you can't get anything much better in a head but you could get a whole lot worse!

I picked up a new set of J15 DF with the Recoil Proto 125 shafts for almost next to nothing, and can't wait for this snow to be gone. I was able to get in one round with the j15's before the snow flew last week and am very impressed with how easy they are to hit and how great they feel. My current gamers are j40dpc with project x 5.5 shafts and just wondering what I should expect moving to graphite.

On a bit of a side note. Went to my local and new Golf Galaxy super store in Cary, NC last weekend. Now they do not show on their website, nor did they have anything in the store Bridgestone except for balls. I have dealt with them before and asked my guy there if they could custom order Bridgestone irons. He said that he wasn't sure, but lets check. Sure as rain they can, and I did! You can order any shaft that they offer, of course there are several at no upcharge (it will tell you on their website), plus any grip (some are no upcharge also). The kicker is that the J15 CB was priced at $692 for 4-PW. First off that's about $100 less than the regular retail price right now stock. Second of all it's about $200 less that the same configuration for Srixon's and Mizuno's...a no brainer for me!

So, if anyone is looking at premium forged cavity back irons, custom ordered, brand new from the factory head to your local Golf Galaxy and just ask them to look it up on their system...hell of a deal!

discount dans can do even better ;)

True, they can, but I had a trade in of irons which they gave me $378 for which was more than the PGA value guide.

I could not pass it up.

Just wading in here boys to test the waters. I have two sets of J40 cbs one with px 6.0 ssx1 and another with px 5.5 straight in. I love them both of course but I am considering a set of j16s with I95 regulars. Of course I dont' need them, but should I buy them and why? The snow is playing havoc on my common sense.

Thanks for the quick response czastrow. I'm 55 in a week and have a ss of 100 with the driver. No place close to try the steel fibers but the website has me top of the reg and bottom of the stiff. You evidently think the 110s are the better option but I'm kinda wanting to make a change. Reg or Stiff in your opinion?

I will be 51 soon and sporting the proto 125 in stiff. Really like the feel of the shaft. my swing speed is only a few mph faster than yours so guessing stiff would not be an issue.

I just got my j15 CB's in the mail from a fellow WRXer, plastic still on heads. These things are beautiful. I had been looking at these for a while, but being located in Canada, there was nowhere to look at them/demo them. Bought these without seeing them and I really like the size, shape, etc. They are going straight in the bag. I'm sure they will play as good as they look

Out of sheer boredom, I have changed several times lately but keep coming back. It is looking like I will be playing the J15's for another year. I need to start playing more so I can start giving reviews again. Would like to see this thread double the pages for this year. It will show just how good these irons really are.

Howler, I have the Modus and recently tried other shafts but will be playing my Modus this year. For my swing, they are great. You should enjoy them.

The j15 cb looks great. I was going to give them a try but ended up with a set of the driving forged instead. I'm estatic that I was able to pick up a tour van set for $325 with f4 recoil prototype shafts, but I am still curious to see how the cb plays.

I'd have bought those df for that price too. The df are really nice! If you want to move them to try the cb, let me know.

Hey guys in considering changing the shaft in my cb. I currently have dgpros300 in them. I want to reduce the spin a bit but stay in the same flex and maybe a touch lighter. I was thinking kbs ctaper lite s at 110g.

Do you think the kbs should spin less than the dg pro?
