Funny you bring that up as him and I were talking on the phone and it came up. I believe he said he played the same irons and liked them.

I will go with whatever fairway wood matches my driver. Driver is down to either SIM MAX or one of the Mavriks. Both fwy wood lines are stellar so i'm not worried about it. Plus I just found out the start of our state matches got pushed back because of the COVID-19 chaos so I have plenty of time now to sort things out.

Anything else you can say about the t100? I am currently considering making a change to t100 (with MMTs) but have not had a chance to hit them outside yet. Indoors on a mat they feel amazing but wondering about turf interaction. Titelist hit a home run with these. I wish they were a little more square toed if i was being picky. Great podcast!

T100's are great. I think Titleist did an amazing job with them and fixed some of the issues they had with previous AP2's. Especially in the feel department and spin. Reasons I went Honma over T100 and Apex Pro Dot ultimately came down to my ability to get a great deal on heads only for the Honma's. Made it much easier to build and save some cash.

The SIM MAX has been stellar for me so the Mavrik has it's work cut out for it. Great launch and spin and not much to complain about. SIM on the other hand has been terrible for me. I still can't figure out why but it's just bad.

I have a standard Mavrik in the 7w, great feel, nice high launch even with smoke 80, just took delivery on SZ 3+ with 130 white rogue 70, will share thoughts once I get it out.

never got along with any TM woods.

If you like the max you should try the max fairway. I demoed that and just nutted the #$%& out of it time after time with the stock x flex shaft. I am going to pick one up. I agree the SIM driver was wild and crazy. The LST killed it in total driving. I didnt hit the max driver though. Will have to do that...

I've tried the Max fairway and it's good for sure. My preference is the SIM Ti though. Love the shape and on course it was much more consistent for me than MAX. As for drivers, hit the MAX

Yeah, he convinced me to try the Fuji Pro 95i graphite shafts and absolutely loved them. Now you're doing the same with the MMT's;)

haha it easy to be swayed on this board. If you want a heavier weight then go with the MMT's for sure.

Saw that. Going from x100 to the i95 was a big jump for me but adjusted rather easily. Just missed a heavier weight. If the MMT's loads like the x100 but in a lighter weight, I'm sold.

MMT's load in a similar way from a profile standpoint but feel MUCH better.

Would you say flex-wise the TX is the same as x100? I read some are considering soft-stepping the TX. I wouldn't mind being somewhere between a S and X flex.

I would say the TX is similar in flex to X100.

Like the TS3 a lot. Yes stock hzrdus as it's a demo club. Took it out on the course as I was waiting for my next test driver to show up and hit some solid shots. It's certainly in the running.

It is, im a fan of the hzrdus black. Unfortunately this one was a stiff flex so it got pretty spinny and high for me but i can certainly see the potential in the head.

Yeah, that’s not enough shaft for you. I would say unless you have something picked out already. Give the new KBS TD a go if you can. I am pretty amazed by it.

Yes, 100% I agree~ such a solid shaft.

 

Once you get the TS3 specs dialed- best driver in town, you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
