I agree. All wedges from top OEM's perform great, some a little better in wet conditions, but overall they are all great. I stuck with the MD3's for the last 2 years because of the shape, MD4 I didn't like except the 60*. If I didn't like the MD5's I would have stuck with the MD3's and got another set. Shape is just so important to me. As consumers we are lucky that companies like Callaway and Vokey gives us so many bounce and grind options.

If I remember correctly, you gave the fubuki j serious consideration a couple years back. I've been playing that shaft in my drivers since it came out. Curious if you have any thoughts about how it compares to the PO.

Wow, these are fantastic on course, especially the 52s bent 1 weak. I was having an off day with the new Mavrik Pro irons, think the light shafts are a problem, only 7 greens.

i hit the 53 7 times from about 40yds in and was 7/7 up and down, 4 of them just tapped in putt with wedge they were so close, green side spin is excellent.

What were the pluses you saw with the sim max over the sim?

I like the deeper face and my misses tend to be high on the face so I think it helps me in that regard. I'm going to mess with them both a little more but right now the MAX consistently outperforms the SIM and has my spin in the low 2000's. Im' interested to see how the Mavrik stacks up.

Hooked up the sound cloud during a workout and listened to the news. I respect the choice and hope you enjoy them. I can relate to alot of the discussion. I'm in the middle of you and knudson handicapwise. Im right near your age. I too have my own shop and can build anything. I live in near you, But I am working in michigan for 4a while. (Knud, meet me at Carl's golf land and lets hit some balls). I have been playing steelfiber 125x for a few years now and find the MMT intriguing and would like to try them. My joint issues have greatly improved so I moved to P7TW with S400 TI of all shafts but I would love to stick an MMT in my P7TWs to try out. Anyway nice pod cast, found it helpful and relatable.

Great podcast! Agree with @Warrick such an easy listen. Great choice of irons as well. The 747v were the closest ones I tested in the last year that came close to knocking out the Bridgestones.

Thanks guys and @Deuce78 it's great to have your own shop. I moved and now have a separate building that is my shop and do a lot of work for people on this board and locally, especially hotmelt work. Its another part of the game thats fun for me.
@wam78 747V's are money but as i said there wasn't a difference so why spend more money? I got the 737V's for less and brand new heads only which was perfect. Bstone makes a nice iron for sure, i like their shape a lot but found in the past the heel to toe length was a little longer than I'd like. Not sure if they've changed from that or not.

The PGA Superstore near me has a full set of 747v irons on demo which is awesome. You can hit 4-pw and see how the set transitions. Never had a chance to hit 737 as it was never in demo. The shape of the blade and sole design are fantastic. Plus the feel is so solid. And I second the thought as to why spend more money if performance is the same.

If you like the 747V you like the 737V. Literally the same club just different cavity cosmetic. I actually just got done playing a quick 9 after work and struck the ball amazingly well. The last few rounds I feel like i'm really getting these dialed in with distance and the nuances that each set has. Took a few pics i'll post in a bit.
