I'm going to assume that since we haven't heard much in the way of updates that RA wasn't kidnapped and his injuries were from his own actions.

He probably doesn't want to admit publicly that he was wasted and passed out on the sidewalk; he just wants this to go away as quickly as possible.

I think Tiger's 82 and missed cut helped tremendously with that.
