Rakuten is legit. I've ordered from that site before but not from that seller. You need to do a pretty large amount of sales before you can even be a seller on there. With the weak yen to usd right now, you can get some pretty amazing deals on quality jdm equipment. Shipping is usually very reasonable too and fast. I usually get my stuff within a week.

Any warranty issues from Rakuten?

Just had the chance (finally) to take my brand new 2013s to the course, and all I can say is, Wow. Just, wow.

Haven't hit an iron with this soft feel since my 1961 Wilson Staffs - but the Staffs had a sweet spot the size of a pin head (and it's location was dangerously near the hosel). My 2000 Apex Plus irons (also Endo) were also very soft, but the Onoffs combine great feel with incredible forgiveness. And they are gorgeous clubs, to boot.

These Onoff clubs are really something, and I also really like the NS Pro 950 shafts. Great setup for me. Can't wait to get them out on the course again .

If the 2015 model are like the 2013 model, I would advise anyone to give them a try.

Ahhhhh crapola! This thread has made it official for me now, I have to get a set of the 2013 or 2015 onoff forged irons. I was trying my hardest to resist but I just don't think I can now. Looks like the Hogans are going to find their way into back up status.

I don't think you will regret buying these.

Good luck!

I just received my Kuros 2015 this week with Nippon Zelos 8 shafts - three games and my three best scores, including shooting 79 which is my first time breaking 80 for 18 (that was my goal this year too!) - lots of practice and great irons!

I have tried 4 sets of irons over the last two years (MP 59 and 32, Apex, Adams CB3) and these score on several fronts of what I liked about the other sets and incorporates into this set. - beautiful, nice address, forgiving, forged, good distance

Love them - the search has ended!

Does anyone happen to have the bounce numbers for the 2015 Kuro's? The leading edge looks to be digger friendly but I've noticed that many Japanese irons are very low bounce. Makes me wonder if the clubs are designed for driving range mat golf?

Lowest price seems to be from Tstar on a set with Zelos 8 shafts. I'm considering ordering them and then swapping out the shafts for some Recoils' I've got laying around. Anyone know if the shafts are .355 or .370?

Reasonably sure they are .355. I have dealt with TStar before, and they are top notch and fast.

The Kuros have grind relief both on front and back of the irons, making them very turf friendly, and def not diggers.
Yes. I also noticed much less digging, coming from my previous irons. The leading/trailing relief is excellent. I get a nice shallow, smooth divot (unless of course, i hit one of my patented chunks - then all bets are off).

Scotch congrats on the low round with a new set!!! That is awesome.

I wound up with a set of prgr instead of the Kuros which I thought I was going to get. However I am really happy with them and no regrets. The quality endo forging is nice to hit regardless. Still like to look at the kuros, one of the better clubs offered this year I think.

My 2011 3 and 4 iron are .355 for Nessism. Know cuz I reshafted them both myself. Ordered thru rakuten a set of srixon 945's that I have not even received yet but because of this thread I am going ahead on the 5-pw onoff kuros to complete my '11 3 and 4 iron. I was really undecided for a couple of weeks which way to go but I have to say my '11 3 and 4 iron are sooooooo easy to hit, I cannot help but wonder what the 5-pw must be like. But with the deals thru Rakuten right now I figure I won't be losing too much if anything selling either of the two after a mini test.

Was at the range over this weekend and tried them out. I like how they felt when the balls was coming off the face.
When I compare it to my Miura 501CB I do not think they go as far. Next range session I will bring both sets to see if that is true or not. It just means I might need to give them more time to get use too. LOL

Can anyone compare the 2013 vs. 2015? What is the major noticeable difference if any?
Also, shaft tip size? I read above but person wasn't certain that it .355t.

Where are all the good deals like the ones posted? What's a fair market value for new set of 2013 and 2015?

Hi, as mentioned above I have the '11 3 and 4 iron onoff forged and they are definitely .355T as I reshafted both myself. Have the 5-pw coming in from Japan ('15 model Kuros) and will probably reshaft but I expect them to be also .355T.
