Has anyone made any color scheme mods to the origin putters? Love the looks, not big on the blue though. Can the swoosh on the back of the putter be paint stripped and changed to black?

The swooshes can be changed to black, but the blue RZN on the bottom can't be changed.

Not to thread jack here, but want to give a fellow Nike fanboy a chance. There's a very limited Nike putter headcover on the BST that will be sold for cheap tonight. To avoid breaking any rules, that's all I'll say...

Why change anything at all? He made changes to what he think it was needed, the putter. Why change the rest of the clubs when he's doing fine? No need to change the driver and ball.

 

I feel it'll be a while till he changes any other clubs. At least we know his apparel and footwear won't change for a while.

 

I thought it was weird he spent so much time using a blade putter w/ Nike but I see he's rocking the SC mid mallet. Why didn't Nike design a mid mallet for him?

Yeah Rory!! Good job bailing Nike Golf. Nike had several wins after the decision to quit and none the less, the season champ.

 

The irony is pretty strong. I still think if Nike were a private company, they'd have done things differently, but alas, its just business - and businesses need to be profitable.

I have a hard time believing that Nike is mad they aren't making clubs anymore just because Rory has two wins recently. In the end Rory will still be wearing Nike gear even after he stops playing their clubs. The two wins weren't going to make their clubs sell better. The gear is what the majority of fans see anyway.

My pick ups from the Nike Company Store in Beaverton. Not much except random gloves they had in a size small. Mostly picked up Non-Nike Golf stuff. Kobe's, Tech Fleece, etc...

 

Can't beat Koston's for $50, balls for $15, gloves for $12, flex-knit for $60.

 

Thanks again to Nike Golf for shipping them back to my house, saved me some $ in shipping.

I can guarantee the higher ups at Nike haven't given a second thought to getting out of the equipment business. Remember they didn't get out because of market share or losing $, they got out because of return on investment. Why spend $200 mil a year to make $450 mil a year (made up numbers, just using something to get my point across), when you can spend $25 mil to make $350 million?

 

Also I know some exact sales numbers and they're not pretty.

 

Funny story about the clubs and pros using them. A buddy is friends with Brooks Koepka and when Nike announced they were getting out they asked each pro what they wanted or would need. Guess Koepka's response was he wanted 3 years worth of all clubs he uses and 10,000 balls. Not sure what he actually got.

Got a vapor fly 3hl head on the way so with my current set up, I can switch between 52 and 58 wedge set up with 3, 5 wood, and 3 hybrid (or a 3 iron if I can find a single in great condition) or a 4 wood, 3 hybrid with gap and 56, 60 wedges.

Just bought these golf shoes a week ago. I have a deep obsession with nike shoes. I personally think nothing beats Air max's so I will have to pick up a pair of the golf shoe version next season.
