Hit the new Cold Forged and it's really good. The difference between the new version and the old one is the club is a bit smaller and the groves are cut, like the SM5 series and not pressed, which the older version of the Cold Forged wedges are. Really nice feel and good performance.

The main difference between the SM5 and the Cold Forged series is the head weight is lighter on the Cold Forged series and there is a bit of leading edge relief as well. Basically, the rep said that the CF series is made for the playing conditions in Japan, which is mainly a warm season grass, like a combo of Bermuda and Kikuya, called Korai.

All and all, I liked it more than the last version of the Cold Forged, but not as much as the SM5, but getting closer.

They look REALLY nice !
I had some SM4s about 3 years ago for a short while .
Just couldn't get the feel of them .
I found them clicky and firm .
Has anyone used the cold forged that's also used the Miura wedges that could give me a comparison ?

I would also like to know this. I hate clicky, and my fourteens are like fine, but I don't love them at all. I think Florida turf may be a close parallel for japan. I am not moving from fourteens for a lateral wedge though. I am kinda looking like eventually miura, or hoping something cheaper comes along with rave reviews regarding feel and touch.
