I'm thinking a playoff too.

I'm feeling it for Mirim Lee to win but I'm rooting for Alison Lee.

There are 9 Lee's playing next week at the ANA.....likely all Koreans....just wait until women's golf really takes off in China.

So if Alison Lee wins.......can we include her in the Korean Reign of Terror winning streak?

Except for a Ping staff bag....looks like Alison is not all that well sponsored....she needs a new agent.

She was showing off her booty in those yoga like pants yesterday.

Are you guys watching a GC live stream?....we don't get it in Canada.

Capsule Bio

Alison Lee is a Korean American born and raised in Southern California. She was a star golfer even as a junior player, starting the game when she was 6 years old. She achieved All-American honors in the AJGA for six straight years (2008-2013). She won 9 AJGA tournaments.

Among her other junior accomplishments was being a three-time member of the Junior Solheim Team (all three teams won); a two time member of the Junior Ryder Cup Team; and a 26th place finish at the 2009 US Women's Open.

In 2013, she enrolled at UCLA, where she promptly became a big star on the college circuit. In fact, she won the ANNIKA award for top female college golfer in 2013. She won the 2014 PAC-12 Freshman and Player of the Year award, and set the record for lowest scoring average for a season in UCLA history.

Lee also played on the 2014 Curtis Cup team, where she achieved a 3-1-1 record.

In her Sophomore year, she continued to be one of the top ranked college players in the country, earning PAC-12 Golfer of the Month for both September and November.

In December, she entered the LPGA Qualifying School. She wound up tying with Minjee Lee for first place, earning her tour card for 2015. She turned pro and dropped out of school to pursue her dream career on the LPGA.

That makes two of us. Mirim Lee is a bad ************. I don't think she will back up. Already in her young LPGA career she has gone toe to toe with Stacy and Inbee and knocked em both out. Said it before, Mirim looks like she packs a heavy punch, and like she might be kind of a bully too. I mean that in a good way of course!

A lady next to me yelled "Go Stacy, go!" Stacy looked over, but did not smile or acknowledge.

Big difference with Morgan Pressel. A bunch of people yelled "Go Morgan!" and she smiled and waved back.

Thank you for the unbiased validation of what I've seen time and time again.

I don't think any of the Korean gals have enough nastiness.....I guess none when they were a rookie had Crusty as a 'Big Sister' mentor.

Maybe if Heather Cho (Nut Rage woman from Korean Airlines) has a daughter who could excel in golf.
Obviously The Librarian never inherited The Dragon Lady's assertiveness.

Best of two worlds maybe? The Korean golf gene + approachable, girl next door charm of USA. It's a winning combinations, case in point Christina Kim. :russian_roulette:

Mirim Lee with stubbed chip................
[/quote]
I call those shots..."Stubby the Monkey" or "The Pancake".
BraveDave at the 2013 Safeway Classic was right behind Brooke on the 17th hole when she stubbed her chip....she had a great rd until she went double, bogey coming home.

When Pancake came out of the scoring tent to sign some autographs she was still mad and steaming....BraveDave was so scared he would stand 15 feet away from Brooke.

See....I even have nickname for my lousy shots. :to_become_senile:

Oh ya I forgot to mention....my biggest surprise from the 3rd round was that Hyo Joo Kim only shot 72.
It's tough to watch HJK playing partner....Brittany Lang continue to struggle with slow play, indecisiveness and poor putting.
Luke her caddie/brother is trying to get sis to simplify things...... but she can't.

Lang has a powerful natural swing but it's offset with her mental game.
Brittany is a really nice young lady.

After seeing Mirim for the first couple of times I said here that I thought she was a bit arrogant. Perhaps I misread that as maybe it is more of a strong sense of self confidence and assured ness

Good morning gang! I decided to start off the day with the bagel sandwich then move onto Starbucks for some wrx catching up and the Sunday SD Union. Looks like Michelle's going off solo today. That splish splash at 18 cost her. What a day yesterday, stayed tell the bitter end with the 2nd to the last group of Danielle Kang, Jennifer Song and final group whom I can't remember. Should of kept my pairing sheet. Danielle's mom was saying something funny about what she'll put up with and what she won't from her LPGA daughter. She's funny and a looker.

Pretty much caught the entire round of Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson and Michelle Wie. Way to go Paula! It's great seeing her play well and with elite players. Lexi goes left off the tee at 8 and as I'm watching her snap hook into the mess we hear a club bang the ground! hehehe.. Lexi! It's a wide fairway and she had to take a drop.

To end the day I hung around 18 to see the rest of the groups come through. They've got grand stands in the landing area at 18 which is a nice spot and a bartender! Hee Joo Kim birdied 8 after an 80 foot putt went about 95 and landed on the fringe. She comes back and buries the birdie putt. At 18 she sticks her approach the closes I saw and birdies that hole too.

MJ Hurr went over our heads in the grandstands at 18 and the ball landed behind the stands in bushes and she gets a free drop. Not a bad place to miss as long as you find your ball. Morgan came over and helped with a ruling. Some numb nuts that everyone was telling to not touch the ball, pulls it out of the bushes anyway.

Watched the second half of that Michigan State game then hit the hay. It's nice to come home from the tournament as see March Madness. Hey lets do it all again today. I think a player just walked in Starbucks. I think it's Belen. Can't be.
