Golf Talk Thursday : Red Rag Challenge inspired topic today. If you could turn one par 4 at your home course into a short par 4 by moving up to the red tees, which one would you pick?

 

6 at Hobbits. Definitely driveable from the red tees, but it'd be a blind shot.

 

nice. 6 at hobbits would be fun precisely because it's a blind shot. would they have to move the red light on that hole? how would that work?

 

2 & 14 are going to be interesting when we deuce up BM. greenside bunkers aren't exactly cakewalks, but are preferable to other locations (depending on pins).

tex, using the "live" part of gamegolf live is against usga rules i believe (someone please correct me if i am wrong).

 

i think it's akin to using any program/gps/smartphone app that can recommend clubs while you are on the course. personally, i think it's bogus, because caddies do that calculation for the player all the time. i also wish they'd allow the slope function on lasers to be ok.

 

look into the difference between the "regular" gamegolf and the live version. i think sully, DC and FABB are all on the regular one and i think they all like it.

GAME GOLF LIVE is fully permitted under the USGA and R&A Rules of Golf for tournament play and establishing handicaps if used without connecting to the App ---don't know that is---I imagine where the information is stored.

Game Golf is fun to play around with but I don't like to use my phone during the round so there wasn't much point to the live version for me. I also wouldn't want to make the adjustments on small touch screen. Seems much easier to do post-round on a computer.

This locker room situation is unbelievable. The best possible setting for a guys trip I can think of. Tvs, pool tables, a bar open till midnight, and you get to see other naked dudes walking around.

Also, came about 1 more fingernail to the chest to having an all out brawl with previously mention buddy and entire doosh family while playing a not so friendly game of water polo.

 

As one of them said "we all play this competitively back home." We won, but not without nocking one small female out with a head to the face, making mommy cry, and then making the over agressive / instigating Chaz get pulled out of the pool by same mommy. Anyone ever met a Chaz they like?
