Have you guys seen this sweet new putting aid on the front page? It features sleek industrial design, inspired by the female genitalia.

http://www.golfwrx.c...t-training-aid/

They've even got a catchy slogan - "PuttOut Golf; Grab your putting by the pu*$y"

Using the female genitalia makes sense. In both activities the object is to get it in the hole. With one the object is to use the fewest strokes possible, in the other, it is to use the most strokes possible. Remember, golf and sex, the two activities with which one does not need to be good in order to enjoy.

Two separate pics JJ. Two.

City foot fetish: confirmed.

827 thinks I have a shemale thing.

If you combine the two, I guess I'm just into men's feet.

Well, you do seem to always point them out in the BST pics.

Yeah, but I'm DISGUSTED by them, I tell ya. Disgusted.

Solid 6 hours, courtesy of superfriend advice.

- Turned off all the screens by 10:00

- Read a history book, because if anything is going to put me to sleep, it's a history book.

- A healthy glass of Glen Moray 16

I was pretty beat from not sleeping the night before, but hopefully that combo of stuff helped.

By the way, the cafeteria woman did complement my on my pretty feet one time when I wore sandals. I didn't know what to do with that.

Sorta funny foot story. . .

I took drawing in college and the final project one semester was "Draw an interior space".

So I pulled my pants down around my ankles and did a drawing of the inside of my pants and had my feet sticking out. I also drew a horrible looking bathroom tile floor and the rim of a toilet seat between my legs.

Anyway, when we did critiques, a couple people started commenting on how funny I made my little toes. And, I was like, "that's what they look like."

Everyone was like, "oh".

Now you want to know but only me, Anne and Kent will ever know.

so, i got an invite from tex a few days ago to join the stabbin cabin boys on their winter pinehurst sojourn. 100+ emails later and i am happily confirmed. my first golf-specific trip in 6+ years, and i am friggin stoked!

any advice for a fragile bodied golfer who is looking at 5+ rounds in 3 days?

any advice on the courses we'll be playing?

here's the lineup:

Golf 23-Feb-2017

br_vPN____1.jpg Tee Time: 12:50 PM

Pine Needles

In 2004, Pine Needles underwent an important restoration project. Under the watchful eye of Ross aficionado, John Fought, the greens were rebuilt, bunkers were dug out and fresh sand was installed. Contours and dimensions of greens were restored to their original forms as shown by a series of vintage aerial photos of the course, returning the course to its original glory. Following the restoration, the Pine Needles course measures more than 7,000 yards in length with some holes having been "stretched" to return the shot values that Donald Ross intended for this course. Fairway bunkers are now placed so that they serve as the kind of hazard that Ross intended for the tees.

Golf 23-Feb-2017

br_vMP____1.jpg Tee Time: 8:15 AM

Mid Pines Golf Club

Impeccably manicured to modern standards, Mid Pines is a classic gem, a rarity among Ross’s masterpieces because it is exactly as he crafted it more than 88 years ago.

Golf 24-Feb-2017

br_vDC____1.jpg Tee Time: 7:57 AM

Dormie Club

Nestled amongst nearly 1100 acres of sandy, rolling and wooded terrain, The Dormie Club is the first Coore & Crenshaw course in the state.

Golf 25-Feb-2017

br_vTR____1.jpg Tee Time: 12:20 PM

Tobacco Road

If you are looking for golf that is breath-taking, exhilarating and fascinating you need look no further than the great Tobacco Road. The magnificent beauty of our course has led to many accolades. We guarantee your trip around The Road will be an unforgettable experience, and the highlight of your golfing year

Mid Pines and Pine Needles are just so good. If you weren't living in the stone age, you would be seeing some of the stuff one of the assistants at MP/PN has been posting about changes at Pine Needles on the 'gram. It should be even better when you get there than it was in the fall. The two courses are definitely distinct, while sharing some attributes. Mid Pines is a small course. It's not long, and it's all crammed in on the property. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I sometimes like being on a golf course where you're constantly in view of other parts of the golf course. Pine Needles is just so much bigger. The property is bigger. It's longer. There are more holes where you're sort of isolated to just seeing the hole in front of you. I'd say to play them both from the back. You've got plenty of length, and game for both of them. Having played exactly the same courses you'll be playing, I would say MP/PN are the best golf courses you'll play, overall. I know that differs from my recap post, but I've had more time to digest it now. Great that you're getting them at the beginning of the trip, when you're fresh.

We were all tuckered out from two late nights of drinking, and preceding days of golf when we played it, so I think that soured the experience somewhat since we all played like trash. That said, it's just a tough golf course. Not a great walk, at all. You'll probably have more fun playing a set of tees or two up from the tips. I loved the place, though. I think it's an awesome golf course. You'll benefit greatly from still being fresh when you see it.

I think you'll have a blast at Tobacco Road, and it's a great place to finish the trip. It's like nothing else I've ever played. There will be so many circus shots, both good and bad. I won't be even the slightest bit surprised if there is a hole-out from the fairway or tee in the two rounds you all play there. The slopes around that course make it so fun. It'd be great to play one round back, and then play the second round up.

We stayed at Pine Needles, so I have nothing of note to say about any food or drink places outside of that. The bar at Pine Needles was good though, and made some tasty grub. Certainly a good option to just walk off the course and eat at the end of the day.

Have a blast, and take plenty of pics!

on to the most important stuff: the betting. here's what we've agreed to.

Bet 1: The Winter Pinehurst Sojurn Invitational

Your best four round total (NET) vs everyone else's best. Triple bogey max. Basically, you get one throw away round.

$25 each entry, winner take all.

Bet 2: The CityGame

Your best NET differential vs. everyone else's best. Can be any of 5 scheduled rounds.

$15 entry, winner take all.

Bet 3: The Standard

In effect every round. Two man teams. NET Best Ball. Teams rotate each round.

$5 Nassau.

i've always wanted to do #1 on a trip in some form. never had the guys who cared enough to do it. #2 is a awesome reward to the best round played all trip. and #3 is a no brainier, just to keep juices going.

the grint's gonna do all the heavy lifting in regards to calculating stuff. i have a 4th bet planned, but it's much work for what's probably a small payoff.

but if it comes to fruition...

Bet 4: The Money Ball

Take your best gross score for each of the 18 holes and add them up. lowest total wins. 5 rounds played, so you'll have 5 chances to make your best number on each hole. par is irrelevant. obviously the "weight" of par 3s are worth more, as a par there is one better than a par 4 and two better than on a par 5.

$0. probably just a fun exercise. i do think that the winning score will be a sub 72 total.
