Rules for the giveaway

 

We randomize all the number of posts and the #1 number on the top is the winner. Say there is 1,000 replies from members. We will randomize 1 to 1,000 using a website that has a randomizer. It scrambles the numbers and the #1 is the first place and the #2 is the second etc. Members with multiple entries will void their chance of winning.

I use this app. The problem is that you can't select a certain area to find players, or a specific course. The app is cool and a few tweaks could make it really good.

I love the concept of the app. I would prefer that my news feed is location based. I see posts from entire US. Rather just see posts from my area to find rounds I can join.

It's a pretty cool app. Like others said it would be nice to be able to filter the news feed to a specific area or areas.

I honestly just loaded and played around with the options. Its a great idea and I will definitely try it. My schedule is difficult so it might be a nice option to have "meet me there" for those of us who get a break and just go to a course and play. For the lucky Golfers of the world who have very open schedules they could just meet us at the course. This might keep some of us "whim" players from getting stuck with a dud and find someone just happy to get in a round.

This app will rule all golf apps. I like being able to decide if you want to simply let someone see where you play or played. And, looking for other players is great. The only thing i can think of is a location filter. I do like seeing other courses, but for the matching, we need location filters.

I think the basis is a perfect idea.

Right now what I think would help is some sort of an indicator when you look at peoples profiles to be able to say "yeah I would play with them" and use an algorithim to find similar golfers in a geographical area to match a player with.

Something that I have been pondering .. is what if the app could allow two people to book a golf now time through the app to help ensure that the group gets paired up together. Beyond that.. a 50% discount on booking fees for the players.. I am sure if GolfNow was going to get an increased amount of bookings they might at least consider this sort of integration.

App looks cool. Unfortunately it looks like there are only a couple other users in my area (Lexington, KY). I play on a whim often and would much rather match up than play alone. I will definitely give it a try.

Just downloaded. Looks like the coolest feature so far is the matching system. The first one on my list was a local player looking to get a 4th on a local course. Unfortunately, I couldn't join this time, but will be checking often to get out with some new players.

Definitely needs to be location-based as that is the whole premise. I would also like to see some discounts as an incentive. Maybe you have to meet someone from the app and then you both receive a discount to play. Also more advertisement at courses, ranges, stores, etc

Basically I echo everything already stated which is boring, in that you need to be able to narrow to a specific area. Without that, the app won't take off, but it can, because it is a good idea...another limiting factor may be age, as a lot of older folks probably don't use apps as much, but, such is life.

Having downloaded the previous version I miss the map. Content as a driver to push repeat usage makes sense but in comparison to all other social channels a 'global' feed rarely works.

This is a niche market but it should prioritize the matching ability. I miss the old map to zoom in/out on potential matches. Hopeful more people download so that this can become a more useful app!

Just downloaded the app and am looking it over. I would like to see a "challenge board" or the like. I see that you can invite others to join your group and share your photos/scores but how about a "I shot this, what can you shoot?" type deal where it keeps a tally of scores between you and those in your circle/group. Nice app though and thanks for the giveaway.

Cool idea. I am moving to a new area in the next month so I hope this will be able to help me find people to play with. Is there a way to search people looking for a match on specific days in specific areas? I see the matches tab, but only some of those people are local. And I dont know when they want to play
