New Wilson 50 Elite.

Well, the pink is just too easy to see for me to resist. Swapping my 7.5 dozen yellow Duo's for 10 dozen 50's from him. Combination of white, orange and pink.

I want some of the pinks pretty bad. But I have so many white I can't justify buying more

50 pink, Duo yellow, Duo Spin. I don't know why the pic keeps getting flipped.

I played these for the 1st time today. Temperature was 50 degrees, 10 mph wind. Certainly not shorter than the ProV1x for me off any club. Nice and straight off the driver. Missed the fairway twice because of a straight push.

Performed perfectly fine around the greens. The greens were semi-soft and a little sandy from being punched a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if the slightly granular surface made it easier or harder for the ball to spin. Anyway there were only 2 shots that reminded me I wasn't playing a urethane ball. One, a 140 yard 8 iron, landed on the back of the green and rolled back about 6 feet after hopping once. Two, a 135 yard 9 iron with the wind to an elevated green that ended up 12 feet back from where it landed. Other than that I didn't think about it all day and in fact shot 3 over par for my 9 holes, which is a really nice score for me. Felt nice off the putter, distance control was great, coming from a ProV1x.

Really though, there is no reason for me to try any other non-urethane ball. Glad I grabbed 24 of these for $25.

I thought about trying these but it says it's for those with slower swing speeds than what mine has been when I hit in simulators (90 - 100)

Is it still worth trying..........I'm in search of trying to pick a single golf ball to use.

I have a relatively fast SS. At taylormade ditting day, i hit 117 with a 3 wood shaft in m1

The 50 Elites are the only ball I'll play now and I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised by the spin if you give them a shot. I'd say 5 iron thru 7 they hop and stop, 8 and 9 irons drop and stop, and PW thru LW they usually land and creep back a few inches, and we've had a really hot and dry summer here in South Carolina so that just says that much more about their performance to me. For reference [color=#b22222][size=5]I use 5-LW Callaway XR irons[/size][/color], graphite shafts so its not like I'm using aggressive grooves to spin the ball in my wedges. I read these boards like crazy but rarely post but I had to give the 50 Elites their props.

Absolutely love them, yesterday was my 2nd round with them and shot my best round ever with them. Shot a 97, first time I ever broke 100, I was so happy man. I was also very impressed with how good the SW was out of the sand.

This is my issue I'm now mainly in the 80's and I've done it with at least a half dozen different balls..........I shot my best round ever while in Myrtle Beach for my golf vacation.........Shot an 81 at Possum Trot using a Top Flite gamer.

Haven't used the Wilson 50 yet but my golf season is almost over so not sure I'd want to test them in colder weather.

A buddy of my dad's tried to play these this past weekend with some leaves on the course...........It said on the box "HIGHLY VISIBLE"...............well they weren't that at all.........He ditched them mid round to go back to his NXT Tour.

If you are near a Golf Galaxy, they seem to carry them in white. I've been to two DSG and they only had Wilson Duo (white and yellow, believe).

Only in white at the mega-GG at Easton (and only two twelve packs...well, one now). Looks like rain, so won't be able to try them until later in the week.

I did see that GG has Slazenger Raw Series 12 packs in an escalating savings:
1 dozen = $15
2 dozen = $20
3 dozen = $25
4 dozen = $30

Heck, if they'd have had that yesterday I might have just made that the budget ball for a while!

The ones in my garage aren't the Raw Distance "feel".........Doubt I'll try the Wilson 50 unless I find one.

I believe the previous model had the Wilson Staff Logo with the smaller numbers. I could be wrong though.

Budget Golf has them for $10.97 but if you go to RockBottom and mention this as you are on the Wilson 50 Elite spot as if you were going to order you can fill out a section and give the link to the Budget price it says they'll match it and even give you a gift certificate.

I played the pink ones last week. I discovered they were highly visible when it was sunny but when it got dark and overcast, the colour was too dark to stand out well in the ground litter. Srixon makes a brighter pink which I may try. At this time of year, part of the challenge is having the ability to always find your ball in the leaves. What helps most is having playing partners with really good eyesight who, out of courtesy will point at any ball they see on their walk to their ball.

I tend to put the clubs away when playing requires too many layers.

Really enjoying this ball. Those big, shallow dimples remind me of the old Wilson ProStaff Truncated Cone Dimple (another favorite of my early golfing days -- I always liked unique dimple patterns/dimple shapes as they made me feel like I had an advantage of tech working on my behalf).

I like it's level of softness -- not too soft like Callaway Supersoft or too hard.

Only concern has been the cover seems to scuff pretty easily -- like if I haven't cleaned the club face well enough, I'll make a mark on the ball.
