The Platinums are more for spin and the Blacks will be more for distance. A V1 and V1x respectively for sake of comparison

I wasn't planning on getting one but after seeing a profile pic if the B1/01 I put in a pre-order this weekend.

 

Good news is the price isn't so bad that I feel ripped off if it doesn't work out.

The platinum is a "mid-spin" ball, and the black is a "low-spin" ball. Both of these balls spin enough for me, but the platinum definitely spins more.

Tried the Vapor Fly Pro again yesterday with a few different shafts, still don't care for it, felt like I was not getting the distance I should, felt good, and I really like the looks, but the performance does not seem to be there. Right now, my LTD is much better. I really want to like the Pro, but not impressed.

I ordered two fly pro's bent 1* weak each, last Tuesday and they will be in my hands tomorrow, so I'd say 3-5 business days is the average.

Not too sure about the length situation but we can only get the B2-01 head if my memory's right.

I'm playing the top bag in my sig, I only play three wedges instead of four, found that I can get everything done with a 52 and 58...guess I need to update it and take out the 54 haha

Just picked up the Flex 440 with the new Blue Board. Completely blown away by the sound, feel, ball speed and adjustability. Haven't had a Nike driver since the tour Limited and for as adjustable as this driver is its extremely easy to figure out. Have it as 9.5 with the weight set forward and in the left setting. Penetrating rockets that sound like I'm hitting persimmon.

Yes, this is retail version; head, shaft, grip, weight, length, loft and lie. Everything but the "QUICKFEET" on the neck.

 

It is cool, and the WRX way, to get the "one-off" and "tour issue" stuff.....I'm good with that. I'm pretty sure most of the guys I play with will want to give this putter a roll; maybe it will lead to a purchase. I want them to see the version of the B2 that will be available. You know how it goes, some folks can get "put off" by tour only/LE stuff and it can drive some away from the brand.............they see and like but not available for them to buy and own.

 

The retail release of the B1 and B2 Origin's are flat out awesome!! I think this will be a very successful putter for Nike, it certainly won't be for everyone but those that say this putter is "junk/terrible/awful/feels bad etc." are just haters.

 

 

 

Don't want to put anything out that may be misleading, found out today that the embossed "The OVEN" on the putter headcover is the Tour issue version.
