What would the main differences be between the vapor fly pro gap wedge and engage 50 square. Both with x100 shafts

I need a gap wedge and don't know how these will vary in performance

I have the VFP AW and several 48/50 wedges. The AW basically looks just like the PW so I don't see a ton of wedge style playability out of it as its chunky/wide soled etc. Granted I haven't hit it yet but going on looks alone I'm leaning towards a wedge style gap club vs the matching AW I have. I have a vokey forged 48 with the same LE grind as the irons that I will probably replace the set AW with to keep 4* gaps and bend from there.

Anyone compared the D4 to the fly flex for high spin players?

Was doing a demo day today actually next to Titleist. On his track man the customer was hitting a D4 8.5, diamana 60 x and his numbers were 12.1 launch 2600 spin.

I put together a flex for him with the same shaft and 8.5 and his numbers were 9.7 launch 1450 spin. I increased his Club to 9.5 and he got 10.9 launch with 2000 spin so I would guess they are very similar with the flex and this will be launching a touch lower, or at least it did for this customer.

Random question but curious if anyone has experience. I demo'd the T-MBs from Titleist a few days back and honestly.. they were amazing! Granted it was off a launch monitor and not on course, but I just hit them beautifully. I've got the Vapor Pros currently and was averaging anywhere from 3-12 yards more per club.

So to my question, anyone compared the T-MBs to the new Fly Pros? I'd be interested in hearing opinions between them.

Paging Pure745....I think he has vast experience with both sets and gives superb reviews. He came to mind immediately after reading your questions. Good luck sir!

I actually found the fly pros easier to hit. They are both nice, both have stronger lofts which explains the additional yards. I also really like the black finish. If I were in the market for irons, I'd go fly pros over TMB all day. Very similar clubs, except fly pros are way cheaper.

I've used both and the Vapor Fly Pros are definitely more forgiving, as well as longer.

TMB is no slouch. One of the best irons I've ever hit. The VFP profile is slightly larger and just as easy to elevate. I also find the VFP have a higher launch and more spin vs the TMB into the greens. Plus the fact once you get down to the 8 iron they have the profile of the Pro Combo. And you don't have the hollow back through the whole set. Can't go wrong with either set though. I went with the VFP because the black at address is just incredible and the larger profile in the long irons have me more confidence. I found them more forgiving as well. I would be gaming the TMB no doubt if it wasn't for the VFP. Excellent job by Titleist.

I was really hoping a VFP 2 iron would show up on the BST but after seeing all of these reviews, I don't think that's going to happen.

From a competitive standpoint. I hope no one plays the VFP lol. Jk it's a great set, great price point. They fit all types of handicap levels. Anyone searching for a new set should really consider these.

Random question but what kind of yardage are you guys getting with the VFP Irons? I've only been playing 6 months and wondering what kind of numbers people hit with the same clubs as me.

This is wrx. So I hit my 6 iron about 210 yards, maybe 220. All carry.

I'm not even searching for new irons and I want these so bad. Got the Covert Forged last August, and they have been fantastic. Coming from Pro Combo type clubs I'm not in love with the pocket cavity, and that's why I love the look of the Vapor Fly Pro, they look sleeker like players irons. The only thing that's keeping me from ordering a set is my marriage and the fact that I'm not in love with the stock shaft and don't want to pay for a Nippon upgrade.

I can get 175ish out of my 7 iron

I get 170 on my 7 if I hit it halfway decent... Which I don't! I'm considering the fly pro irons since I can't find the center of the face on the pro combos... I definitely notice the distance loss when I am literally from toe to heel. Makes it hard to judge where my ball will end up lol.

That's why I chose the pros. I demoed both clubs and hit both well. But i could tell my bad shots were much more noticeable with the VPC and I'm sure I could "learn" to hit them but I wanted to try and avoid that stage since I was hitting the pros considerably better.
