Ah yes. I have always been the other end of the spectrum, fuming when I am shaking hands and reaching into my pocket having hit every green, paying over hard earned queen's heads to someone who hasn't hit one.

Even though I am a MacGregor fan, my interest wanes around about 1970, so not going to argue if you think the early '70s Hogans were better than anything else from this era. Best irons of all time? Hmmm. Insanely subjective, impossible argument, but when did this ever stop the interweb?

Pari passu, what am I going to get from some Hogans set up perfectly for me beyond any other iron ever made? Not sure what sort of argument it would take to have me forking out for a set, I am afraid. But that is one less person in the world competing for these clubs!

Actually,
The Ladies call me Mr. Wilson, not because of the clubs I play, but because I am getting as bald as the "soccer ball" in the movie "Castaway."
Ain't no grass growing.
Just saying...

Nothing says "sexy beast" like pulling up in your old pickup, grabbing the old bag full of old clubs out of the back, walking to the first tee in well worn shoes, scratching a two day old growth of stubble and spitting tobacco laced saliva just before nutting your opening drive, without a practice swing.
...and then clutching your lower back as you realise you've just popped a disc....again!

/at least, that's how it goes for me

........middle-aged men. How far off the mark am I?
Bunch of the above that claim their HC is a 4, but in reality, you can 3x this and may closer to the truth.

Funny how in the history of forever on WRX, never have seen a pic of a hdcp card.

But their shafts are always stiff and 2 irons are always long. Myself, just try to make due with a adequate short game.
LOL the short game is where it is at. That was always my key.
Reminds me.... My first ever sub-80 round was a 79 on a par 73 course (five par 5 holes, I three putted the last one for par) in which I hit a whopping 4 GIR. Short game helped a bit that day. :)

My father served both Army and Navy, the latter first; he enlisted as a 17 year old, lying about his age. Two years later, gets out, Korean War starts, he enlists in the Army.

Not having served myself, I'm never quite sure which I should be cheering for. Maybe both. LOL

As for the clubs... it's obvious it's neither Hogans, nor MacGregors, but Ram Tour Grinds. They are the gifts from the golf gods, taken from us too soon....

I was gonna not go there,

But,

The only seagoing vessels called "boats" in the US Navy are submarines,

Everything else,

Is a target.

My brother-in-law was on a boat (nuke) during his stint in the Navy. He was an officer so I asked him if he had a window in his quarters. Me, I was just a grunt (0311).
If you are not playing with 1971 Bounce Sole or 1972 Apex Hogan irons, you are playing with inferior equipment. Just my opinion and open to debate, but myself and '53 Precision play with these irons and we are damn good, just ask us! Yes I am better looking than he is, but he has way more children than I, so it seems girls like him best, but I do have to give him strokes in the matches. You can value that as you deem necessary. I just wanted to chat with ya'll and now I have. I love you guys, have a good day!:) mike
Hahaha right to the point!!!
