What is wrong with you? You should have told her ( before you got married ) " I can always find another woman, but I can't find another game like golf". I told that to the woman I've been married to for the last 55 years. Fortunately, she loves golf as much as I do.

I did the same thing a couple years ago. (When the Goodwill still had good stuff in my area. Things have dried up since.) On a Friday afternoon, I spied a Cleveland TC-15 persimmon wood in almost mint condition. I thought about it, and decided I had too many clubs, and drove home. By late evening, I wondered why I didn't buy it for $2.99. I thought about that club in my sleep.

 

Saturday morning, (fortunately before the wife got up) I thought how stupid I was, and raced to the store to get there at 9:00 am opening. Fortunately, the club was still there. It's really beautiful, haven't hit it very much, though. It has its original grip, in dried condition, but intact.

 

I'll have to give it a play this year.

Every time I pass on something I should have bought, it's not there when I go back.

 

Not going to do it again. I can always donate it back, donate ten other clubs to thin the herd or give it to someone else to enjoy.

LOLZ. That's why I now do by "scrounging" on Wednesdays. It's 25% off Senior Day. Don't feel so conflicted trying to decide whether to spend the $5.00 (or less) on an acquisition.

 

The only thing "wrong with you" was that you didn't purchase said club on the first visit. Thus requiring a return visit. Not very efficient scrounging. Lesson learned.

 

Still no clubs around these environs. But did pick up a very nice Tourney Gore-Tex rain suit the other day for $12.71. Did not over think it once I tried it on and the fit was perfect. Was in need of a new rain suit for this season, so the timing was perfect.

Never pay full price for golf clubs when the pros get them free. You made the right choice. I had an authentic titleist bullseye and like a true idiot I sold it. It was unforgivable but we all make mistakes.

It really is a joke, isn't it? Taylormade is crowing that the M1/2/? is the greatest driver in the world. They make the claim based on Tour usage which they are paying players to use. H*ll, give me one and I'll play it too. Pay me to play it and I'll even shill for you guys!

 

I'm watching the Northern Trust Open and many of these guys are spraying these marvels of modern technology all over the place. Can't win with it; can't win without it! Dark is the con of man.

The face of the club is really cool. Here is a pic.

 

I like how the grooves are on an angle. The grip is also really cool it is about 1/3 of the length of the shaft. Also has a nice bounce.

That was when they were really good forged clubs. LOL wonder if the grooves would be conforming if tested?

I will double guarentee you it will dance. All those old wedges are heavy and when you hit down and through and accelerate it--- it will spin like a top and check up. I learned the game with those heavy wedges that is why I have so much added weight via lead tape to mine now. Nothing made now even comes close to the weight of any of those old wedges
