I've probably read all 134 pages of this topic, and I know I am not the only person to appreciate that golf XIs now exist. Can't win em all. Also, everyone probably wouldn't be so bitter if Augusta didn't shut down the snake pack XIs. Those were fire.

Anything but denim.

Apologies but this ruins any mystique the 11’s had as a golf shoe. You can’t wear denim on any decent course. That and denim will get so stained and faded after the first couple wears.

There is nothing to wear with these in any attempt to look presentable.

Quite literally there is not one single worse golf realease imaginable from both a functional or aesthetic point of view.

20 Years ago imagine wearing Jordan's on any course. Additionally, denim is meant to stain and fade. That is the _mystique_ of denim.

Meanwhile, you think a course is going to kick you off because your shoes are denim? Sure there are a number that might, but I'd laugh if the GM, Pro, or any member of my club told me these shoes were against the rules.

Yes, the Jordan 11 "Praying hands" were flat leather on the trim piece, not patent leather.

Yes sir we are in agreement about that. In my post about needing non-patent xi's asap, i was referring to the Bred 11 IE LOW's, but more specifically the Retro release that featured the elephant print. see a few posts up

Received my ADGs the other day but finally got a chance to open the box and take a look this morning. I'm definitely sold on them. They fit real well (I'm a 9.5 in everything) and are comfortable just walking around the house. I think they'll make a great gamer shoe, just like the 90s which I've worn the most over the past couple seasons. Now I just have to find a way to clean those damn 90s since they look almost brown now. Think some reshoevn8r should do the trick? Worked wonders on my cream Yeezys.

They’re not marketing to the people who are from area and have played there. They are marketing everyone. Now perhaps if they did something actually related to the course such as the warning label it might actually make some sense. Don’t just be a sheep and defense poor design choices because it’s nike bud

Just wanted to circle back now that there are better images and ask: is using the state parks logo for a state run course with five stars denoting the courses of Bethpage relevant enough to the tournament or was the generic (re: lazy) warning sign still the best option?

I'm probably in the minority here, but I would have preferred the generic and lazy Bethpage Black sign. Although relevant, the State Park logo is not recognizable to most people outside of the area. Its an attempt at creativity that gets a B-, whereas the sign probably would have received an A from me.
