Just noticed there's not even any GC coverage on Thursday.

Instead of showing actual golf, the golf channel decides to show a rerun of Ferherty and 86.

This tournament is only 54 holes with play starting on Friday. GC has coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

That's right, I forgot. The pro am is 36 holes and the tournament is only 54 holes.

Am I imagining things, but wasn't Anna a short hitter? She seems to have pick up quite a bit of length off the tee.

Why are the Symetra Tour players at this event? Do they get to play in it?

Same question for Natalie Gulbis, Blair O'Neal, and Sara Brown.

The pro-am has become so large in recent years (and quite frankly too large) that they need every Symetra Tour player, Big Break alum, former tour player, and female they can find who can hit the center of the clubface to accommodate the size of the pro-am. Its that big.

Biggest one on either the PGA or LPGA I believe.

When you reach the size where a lot of your 2-day pro-am 4-somes don't even get to play the Bay Course or play with a player who's in the field of the actual event.....you've made it too big and watered it down for the sake of size.

Last year my stepdaughter got to play in the pro-am (she won a raffle) and drew an assistant pro from a famous course in NY. They used my stepdaughter's ball just as many times as the pro's. Sorry, but if I had paid $3K for that I would want my money back.

Michelle McGann did pretty good.

Michelle McGann did pretty good.

Does she still wear the big hats?

I walked by a van today with custom lettering on the side saying "McGann" and I looked and there she was sitting in the passenger seat with the door open. I was like 'huh?' she's still playing? No big hat though.

I walked along as a volunteer with Jacqui Concolino yesterday. Out of Vanderbilt? Never heard of her but she was a big hitter and played well. She's at -8, 4 off. Today walked with Gaby Lopez, from Mexico/USC? also a strong player currently -7. And Jenny Shin. Great demeanor and smile, also played well at -4.

So, all my girls were under par, and I take all the credit for it.

Years ago you were pretty much sure to get to play at least one day with a quality player in the main event on the Bay Course. Your other round you would get a former tour player or rising Symetra tour player. The past few years its become watered down by the size of the event. I had one "pro" a year ago who I doubt breaks 80 very often.......couldn't find much at all on her with Google other than some Junior golf and a couple badly missed cuts on the Symetra. On the plus side both Atlantic City Country Club and Galloway National blow the Bay Course away.

'Pretty much a snoozer of a tournament. Solid play by Anna, but she simply doesn't move the needle. With a weak field, it was a golden opportunity for a number of players who haven't won, or who haven't won in a while, to grab a trophy. However, nobody really stepped up.

Nice rounds by Christina, Haru, Annie, Brittany, Mika, and Jing Yan, but Na Yeon surprisingly went the wrong way, and Karine showed again why she leads the tour in top 10's without a win.

Yeah, Galloway is an upper shelf course. Long and tight (that didn't sound right). And ACCC will always be one of the best in the area, a true classic. But, after a difficult first few years, I have come to love my Bay course. It has three things to defend itself - rough/fescue, Ross greens, and wind (and some say bugs). Distance is not a factor except on a few holes, but I think it is underrated re difficulty. There are many places where 4" rough or waist deep fescue are only a few yards from the fairway or green. It is a classic 'keep the ball on the fairway/greens' Ross course. The wind was down this year, so that was not a factor, hence the low scores. Still, on the holes that I watched her, Anna hit all her FIRs and GIRs. Gotta stay outta the junk on the Bay.

Gaby went to Arkansas... there's an up and coming group from Mexico that just might unseat the Spaniards....
