Working here.  Been on a tractor plowing most of the day. Trying to beat tonight’s rain.  Got most of the grass hid , but that’s it.  Wil probably have to run over all again in 3/4 days  if we get the rain tonight.  If not then we will be planting peas and watermelons tomorrow.

played my match yesterday morning.  Got beat up on.  Lasted till 17.    I played like a dog , but I also ran into a guy who played his best.  I gave up 12 shots. And watched a guy make 6 net birdies and a net eagle.  Wth am I supposed do with that ?  🤣.  Shoot 64?

I wish I’d played better. But I just didn’t have it on approach.  And to beat 6 birdies and an eagle i Would  need to be sharp. Putted good ( no 3 putts ). Drove it well.  Wish I had just worked instead.

12 shots is a tough one to overcome!

Coffee's on, grab a cuppa.

Hadda do my starter's shift yesterday afternoon at the course.  2 to close, which ended up being 8PM due to heavy thundershowers.  Missed the anti-climactic PGA Tour final round snorefest.

Our course testing of the Finn scooters is drawing some new customers into the regular crowd.  We got four this spring and they're getting some regular use now that word is spreading.  They're a hoot to play golf with.  Hilarious seeing a foursome coming down the fairway on these.  The two twosomes I sent out were allowed to play thru by several groups and finished 18 in about 2.5 hours.

Went out to the range in the afternoon after cleaning garage. Testing out my shoulder which seems to be (very) slowly recovering from RCT surgery. Went through a slow progression of half wedges to easy 7 irons. Some nice shots still there every now and then. Inevitably, a couple of buddies showed up (same range rats always there before a big event. (tomorrow is Memorial Day and we always play “double holiday stakes” 😀)).  So naturally, I had to hit a few drivers. Smoked a couple to the other end of the range. Never mind the 20+ mph tailwind.

WTH? Everybody's power go off? Never seen the grille this dead for this long. Of course if everyone's like me there isn't anything going on to talk about. Laid back rainy weekend.

I noticed this too, and went to check elsewhere to see if the server was down. The rollback thread was proof it was still up and running. 🤓😀🏌🏼‍♀️

We had T'Storms yesterday and supposed to get more manana. Today was dry so I mowed

the lawn, swam in the pool, played the piano, ate a hamburger and ice cream...............and..

waggled a few golf clubs in my cave.

By Grille standards my life is far too simple (read dull). I don't have a single customer, I have

not been to a Costco in years and my doctors are no longer able to find anything wrong with

me. I did have to turn the compost and relocate a patio set to Cobi's lower patio next to her

cave; so a few minor honey do's set back my plans for more R & R by 15 minutes or so.

She does all the hard back breaking work; harvesting berries, fruit and vegetables from the

garden areas. Then she reminds me to help eat them all. Easy peasy; blueberries are good

shovel food. I haven't counted how many I have eaten but I must be well into 4 figures by

now. Blackberries and Raspberries are about a month away.

When those start to arrive we may have to fire up the Vitamix and start making smoothies

during the hot days of summer.

Have a much too early tee time for Tuesday (7:20). Course is too wet that early but I guess

I'll suffer it with a smile. It could be worse; like a 6:20 tee time. A friend called and inquired

about swapping tee times with us. They have 11:40. I said if it was up to me, yes...........but,

alas, it's not. We have one guy with a doctor appointment encroachment that has us going

out so early.

See, I plan ahead. I carry my golf schedule with me when I visit doctors. When follow up

appointments are being made, the schedule comes out for consultation. They get it. You

don't mess up tee times for doctor appointments.

Damn! It must suck being you Rad!🤣

It rained almost all day Friday so I dinked around in the garage. Saturday was beautiful but I couldn't get a tee time until 4:30 so I said screw it. I hate weekend golf anyway. Sunday was another day of rain and I spent most of the day cleaning my office and man cave. Moved stuff and vacuumed and dusted. I did get in some good workouts and I walked over 2 miles each day. Golf league tomorrow if it doesn't frickin' rain us out.

We are at about a week and half without any rain, just hot and dry. The afternoon storms should be starting soon, the yard is starting to look like a sand pit.

Played yesterday and did ok with an 81, the new chikara wedges are very nice and I am getting used to the lighter shafts in them. Just cannot get enough rounds with work to get real comfortable with the gear and practicing in this heat is not attractive.

did you finish off the day with a little 10k run?

boy, i’ve always hated running. i hated it in the army. oh, i was fast enough and had more endurance than most, i just hated it. my nashville friends were always running. hey, let’s run run, run, run.

they’ve got fancy new knees now and aren’t so keen on running.

Morning walk with dog and swam laps after hitting balls.

No running for me. I lived in Nashville for five years. Ran a lot then as I was still playing rugby. Can’t believe how that city has grown.

I'm easy to please these days.😃 These are the bonus years and I am happy to just be here.

Fresh blueberries, a well struck approach shot, a cool thunderstorm on a hot day. Each of them

small miracles from an endless supply of the small miracles.

It's funny how things that seemed so common and normal in youth become so miraculous

when viewed from a mature perspective. When I was much younger I wanted to be busy. I

wanted the "action" of living. Now, I don't care about any of that. Now, I smell the gardenias

and relish a cool breeze on a warm day.

I figure I have a lot to be grateful for and I just live in that gratefulness. Cobi is of the same

mind and so we are living it together.

sounds like you need to take some supplements to boost your m3 misery level. the fda recommends a misery index of 3-5 for a healthy life.
