With the exception of Amy Yang and Inbee Park who's still out with a thumb injury still all the top RR players are in here. The rest of the field is more of a European LET than a normal LPGA event. Charley Hull should have big home crowd support here and with her home course experience will be one of the favourites. Lydia of course will be favourite to win again but plenty of top players here should she not play her best. Sung Hyun Park will be one player to watch out for. It will be interesting to see how the International Crown players in here hold up especially come Sunday after what was a tough tournament in quite gruelling conditions last week.

Looks like BBC 1 will be doing the live broadcast with the GC taking the feed? but we're getting plenty of live coverage with 6 hours of round 1 and 2 and 5 hours of rounds 3 and 4.

As expected no changes in the RR to the top 20 this week.

I remember hearing during the coverage of the IC that both Simin Feng and Ssu-Chia Cheng were scheduled to play the Monday qualifier today, both show in the scoring as WDs. Too bad for them, though with China being out before singles I'm surprised that Feng didn't go.

Feng may have made it if the play off had been on Saturday, with the Sunday morning finish of pool play it was probably too late..

Sung Hyun is coming back for vengeance. I think this is the tournament we look back at and realize this was the time she arrived for world domination.

The woods are full of long hitters, this will be no different... lol

Ko fans getting nervous? I read a lot about Sung Hyun needing to stay in Korea for 1-2 more years. I hope it's not just Ko fans wanting to keep that number 1 ranking away from Sung Hyun. lmao.

If any of the long hitters show up with a top class wedge game and know how to putt then LK should be concerned (as should everyone else!), that hasn't happened yet and Sung Hyun is no different. She will win no doubt, she's a classy player, but does she have the consistency required to threaten the #1 spot? I don't see it, the only player that has that right now is nursing a sore thumb.

Sung Hyun has been making money on the KLPGA since 2013 and has 11 wins over there already, I'm sure she's free to try out for the big show any time she likes. I hope she does soon I like her style..

I'll go with Lydia here, as she's been on a roll in this year's majors. Stacy would be my dark horse pick.

Sung Hyun will most likely place in the top 5.

Now who didn't see that new avatar coming... nice. Lydia got a good grouping to start Charley Hull and Linda Wessberg. The Laura Davies, Suzann Petersen, Alison Lee grouping is a little controversial isn't it? Welcome back to Europe... be interesting to see how much love is in that one. After not teaming together last week So Yeon and In Gee group up here with Angel Yin.

I played the Marquess course about 3 years ago and it is just a lovely course to play. Beautiful tree lined fairways and slightly hilly elevation makes it a danger if you're long and wayward. Clever bunkering and beautiful greens require precise pin placement or you've got long putts to contend with. Lydia is my pick and hoping In Gee can do well too.

Yeah I like that grouping. But then I scrolled down and saw Jennifer Song and Na Yeon grouped together. I thought naw no way they did that on purpose. Then I was relieved when the third name wasnt Hee Young Park. If that was the grouping it would have been the threesome of the year.

I hope that Ha Na Jang can put all this stuff about suitcases behind here. We need her back and playing her usual game.

I think this one is very hard to call. It will take a lot of stamina and consistency. A good dozen of the top players could shoot one single stunning round, and I'm sure we'll get that. Inbee Park showed last year that this is won on the back 9 of the final round, though the course was probably more demanding. Does play to LK's strengths. Would be nice to see Sung Hyun Park finish high. She's starting to get a fan club and rightly so.

Weather should be good and around 20*C with just a 50% prediction of a couple of hours rain on the opening day.

Listening to Lexi's pre tournament interview this course should negative some advantage the long hitters may have because while the course is quite long the dog legs mean you run out of fairway. While the official website gives us some great HD views of the course there is no official length given. I took it from the Ladies’ Golf Union website which quoted 6,463 yards which kind of looks to be about right too according to the Woburn GC website yardage for the Marquess Course.

Those interested can check it out here:

The course looks great but I'd prefer it was being played on a links course, that's what the BWO is all about and to play another parkland course doesn't seem quite right..

They have a scorecard on the Woburn site AKL,

http://www.woburngolf.co.uk/courses/marquess/scorecard/

The 6400 you mention is probably about right given they can go from 5800 to 7200.

So Lexi fired her caddy and now her dad will be on the bag. Come on girls, cut the damn cord!

Baseless speculation: She compared how she did with Cristie Kerr reading her putts versus how she did on Sunday with her caddy reading her putts and he was found to be ... lacking.

IIRC her dad is her coach too, so it's a little more understandable. I'd bet it's a short term gig tho.

LOL'd at the pairing of Lexi, Michelle Wie ... and Ai Miyazato.

Picking Sei Young Kim, I think Stacy does well and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Maude-Aimee Leblanc take another big step forward.

I agree. Seaside links only. Could they not get one????

I believe the Golf Digest "undercover tour pro" insinuated NYC and Jenn Song are an item. Didn't mention anything about HYP though.

If 22Putt were still here, he would be heartbroken. :shout:
