I do find it funny that the only people that claim TLs putters are in so high demand are people from his inner circle.

 

I can't recall seeing anyone else post about having one that wasn't tied to Tyson in some form or paid the man who really calls the shots on releases in Jim Butler. Gotta keep the supply down so he can demand 100% markup.

 

Jim use to want push Lamont's putters when he was an up and comer. He wanted the same type of limited releases to drive up the price which isn't the route Lamont wanted to take. Jim moved on and Lamont is doing ok for himself.

I am not on the inner circle - not @ LJ or anything... I have a putter. It came over from the release in October.

People need to just move on if they dont like TL or what he does. Plenty of choice out there now.

How about that release yesterday!! I was able to get the Pink/ Purple donut and the Green Spearmint donut. How did everyone else fare?

I knew about the new donut coming but had no idea some of the old ones would be back around too. Did they actually make more or were those old stock that somehow was still around? I missed out at 4 p.m. like a lot of other people but got a spearmint about an hour later when a few more went live (not the presale; which was darned nice for Tana to do but sooner or later they'll just have to ignore the complaints or they'll go insane).

I got the spearmint which is basically all I was going for. I hope the pre-sale doesn't put off the putter release but I imagine it will at least a week.

Serious question..... I thought Tyson got another machine to dedicate one to accessories and one to putters? Not seeing how this could push back a putter release. I would not be worried about the donuts and accessories, and at this point be focused on cranking out that putter release.

 

At some point they will have to stop replying to the negative comments, and whiners. I have met Tyson and Tana and really enjoy them as people. Hate to see the way they are being treated by some. I know they want to try and keep that close knit feel of a small based Texas company but I think that phase is kinda over.

 

Time to crank out the putters and shut all the people complaining about no putters up cause they probably wont buy anyways.

Tana does the computer work-- if she's busy dealing with the donuts, payment processors, shipping, logistics, etc she's not going to be able to get around to posting the putters. A majority of the putters looked customizable and therefore will be pretty time-consuming, so I imagine they're going to get done what they're working on before moving onto these putters. Appears as though Addason is becoming more and more hands on as things move forward, though. Can't wait to see more putters.

Not...good. Was on right at 4pm, had the Spearmint in my cart and tried to checkout for the next 15 minutes and it wouldn't go thru. Frustrating is not even the word. Then found out about the double secret pre-order. Not sure I'll even bother to try in the future. :dntknw:

What was the “double secret pre-order”?

 

So many people couldn't get stuff at the release (and expressed sentiments online and to the Lambs ranging from disappointed to highly pissed) that the Lambs put up a link for a pre-order on the site about an hour or so later, vowing to make more donuts for people who got left out. Wasn't a secret, though if you stopped looking at your phone or closed your laptop you obviously wouldn't have known. And as it turned out, a bunch of donuts came back up for sale an hour later too. Just some weirdness on the site that's bound to happen when more than a thousand people are trying to buy at the same time.
