Xphlexxx Testing Results Shown in Last Post!

Hit some XX in a Krank head. It was around 3.2* of loft. Much to my amazement the ball went low right. Great for windy 90* dogleg rights.

I got an agera from robopti about 18 months ago and love it but want something heavier. I got the heaviest he had available at a raw 76 grams. Do any of you know if he's made started to make any since then in the 80's gram range?

 

Have you looked through all of Paderson's offerings? They have a couple 80+g shafts up to XX and XXX flex in their Nickel Fiber line.

 

Never have tried any paderson offerings or familiar with their products. I'll do some research but know I really enjoy the agera.

Okay,

 

Rickie Orange(82 g/ X) cut to play at 42.5" for 3 wood testing, Agera Red Stripe(76g/ Stiff) at 44.5" , and Busa (77g /X) at 44" for Fairway finding masher!! All are drying now, will be able to do some testing tomorrow sometime!!

Veylix is a great shaft in the fw for sure...also testing a Diamana Blue Force 80 Stiff right now and it is very solid!! I will put all thru the wringer on Trackman to see what plays the best off the deck...!!

So I was able to do some testing on Trackman this morning with my gamers and some of the new shafts......

Driver -- Callaway GBB w/ Tensei CK Pro White 70s--44.5--8*

3 Wood-- Callaway 816 Alpha w/Diamana Blue Force 80s-- 42.5" --15*

 

Driver Test Shaft--Xphlexxx Agera Red Stripe 77s--44.5--8*

3 Wood Test Shaft-- Xphlexxx Agera RF(Rickie Stash) 82x--44.5--15*

 

ADDITIONAL DATA- Tested a Xphlexxx BUSA Long Drive shaft at 75x--44"--8* and suprisingly the best hits were good...the not best hits...WERE HORRIBLE for my weak a** swing-- so only kept the good ones!!

 

I find I hit these very well in general. Been going thru a slight swing change trying to get a bit flatter on the way back and really release the head more down the line some. I still tend to miss a bit left, but nothing like I used to before the change.

 

Here are the results after testing....outliers were taken off the results and kept the good hits and slight misses...

Things to take from data...-- Agera Red Stripe is the BOMB!!-- and Accurate--back in the bag!!

-- Rickie Orange as a FW is DAMN STRAIGHT...hence in the bag..!!

Wow, the dispersion with the Red in the driver looks great. Did you notice much difference in feel with the weight being heavier in the Agera compared to the Tensei White?

Red is just a great feel and the Tensei is actually similar and we are talking actual difference of 2-3 grams. 70 is a series number on the Tensei...73 grams in Stiff I think.

Dispersion with any Agera I have owned is stellar...and just good solid feedback at impact, not harsh or boardy...feels amazing.

Looks awesome! I've been interested in the Agera for a while.

 

While going thru the swing changes kept the CK Pro White in the bag, since I wanted a consistent feel, but was playing the Red before with great results. These are even better results after the swing change...I am 7-8 yards more carry after vs before the change with the Red. Was avging 250-251 before. Longest with Agera was 262 carry.

Thanks... Rickie was damn straight right out of the box, a bit higher and more control...no distance gain, but wasn't looking for that in the 3 wood!!

What attribute of the Red Stripe could be attributing to the measureable +AoA in comparison to the other shafts? The +AoA and lower spin looks to be the game changer for you.

Honestly, I have a quicker transistion and I think the Agera HANGS with my hands thru the very slight up swing I have, whereas the CK lags just a touch and flattens out more. I think that would be a good reason for it to happen that way.

I tend to play a pretty flat pull fade and the Agera is just a bit more solid thru the ball vs most other shafts.

 

BTW--- I have hit the Zeus...solid shaft there too!!..

It is more of a FIRM butt section vs a RIGID butt section. It is actually quite stiff in the tip section...but again, not harsh...feels super solid at impact.

Far Right is OG Agera, then going right to left...Rickie Orange then 2 Red Stripe..one Stiff and one X flex.

The ager is without a doubt one of the beat shafts out there today. It is such a solid low spin shaft. It has such a solid feel, that really kick at the ball. And it's dispersion is ridiculous. I'm going to look at the fowler proto.

The original ion and Red stripe are the same from what I understand just slightly different weight ranges and a different painting process which believe it or not can effect feel. Ion / OG is 73g and my Red Stripe is 76g. I believe Red stripes are heavier on average of about 4-5g. The Rickie Proto/Copper was made based on the profile he likes which is like a white board profile but counter balanced. It also has a different resin or something that makes it feel a bit more active IMO. Hope that helps I know just enough to be dangerous :D
