Where do you keep you rangefinder?

I place mine in the case that I connect to the towel loop on my bag.

I have a Bushnell Z6 and a Nikon 20. Both are small enough to fit in my pocket when playing. The Nikon is really small and hardly noticeable. When through it goes back in its case and then in the bags pocket. Even though the Nikon is smaller I tend to use the Bushnell more as it works better.

I had recently become an in-the-pocket convert but then I bought a Nikon Coolshot 80 VR with a rubberized exterior that doesn't slide in and out very easily. So back to keeping it its case hanging from a carabiner on the towel ring.

If I'm using my C130 cart bag(which isn't often) I leave it in the top of three front pockets. Normally though I'm using a stand bag and have it hooked to a towel ring with a carabiner. It's easier to get it clipped on that way and also moves a litttle freer.

 

If I'm riding, I usually have it in the cup holder of the cart. If I'm walking and carrying I leave it in the case, unzipped with the strap holding it closed. So far it's worked well.

My Bushnell came with a case that has a belt loop type attachment on the back. I thread the bag retaining strap on the cart through it.

I keep in at the top of my ball pocket, which is easily reachable whenever I need it. I don't like to clip it as I walk most of the time. When I meet up with my buddies, we usually ride and I then keep it in a cup holder or hold onto it as I drive up to my ball.

+1 for in the case hanging from towel loop. Never had an issue with it falling out while walking my rounds. (Leupold GX)

I have a Leupold GX-3i. It fits perfectly in it's case in the pocket with my iphone 6+ behind it with the screen facing away. It is easily accessible and even if I don't zip the pocket back after using, it will not fall out. However, I just ordered the Precision Pro NX7 Pro so I hope it fits as well as the Leupold. I apologize for the sideways pics. I rotated them before uploading but............

 

In the second pic, if you look close you can see the top of the Leupold case inside the pocket.

I do the same thing if I am walking. When I ride I just put it in the front compartment in the cart. I just bought a Monument rangefinder magnet and it fits perfectly. My dad has one and at first I was skeptical of it just hanging on the frame of the cart while we were riding, but the magnet is really strong. It didn't budge at all when we were riding around.

Would it work to just stick your RF (in its Monument strap) to one of your irons? Is the magnet strong enough that it wouldn't fall off? I hoof and often with others in my group in carts so it takes effort to keep up. I hate wasting time fumbling around getting my RF out of its case. I've never heard of anyone doing this but.....could you?

I use the case hanging from the towel hook. I'll toss it in the valuable pocket when it's raining, and haven't had any lens scratches and its in there with my keys.

I hang it off the towel ring on both my home and away bags in its supplied case. I never worry about it getting stolen from my private club and I don't let the bag get too far out of sight when I'm playing away clubs. I don't use it as much off the tee as I used to because it seems more people have range finders in my group and they like to race to the tee box to use it.

Yes it will stick to your irons and stay there, mine goes on my 3 iron.

I had mine hanging on the towel loop and was happy, until it was stolen while I was in the clubhouse restroom.
