Did Camera move on Lexi call?

the rule says " reasonable distance" what that means ? noody can tell me

Can you reason with somebody who has no reason?

Look at the ball relative to her shoe. I think there were a couple of things that happened. 1) the South Korean government triggered a earthquake along the techtonic plates throwing Lexi off balance and making her place the ball off it's mark 2) Aliens cleared entered her brain and caused her irrational move because there is no chance that Lexi would ever think about cheating (apparently according to Phil it's a pretty common occurrence amongst pros) 3) The camera clearly moved, and the shoe is an illusion.

From your pick, the camera would have panned to the right slightly. This would have actually helped keep the marker hidden behind the ball. So your theory actually means she moved it MORE than she appeared to have moved it!

let's talk about the real issue shall we. from the hesitation of her hand it was plainly obvious she was trying to put the ball down on a spot where it would not sit in a depression. yeah, under the current rules it's cheating, but should you have to put out of a depression? the rules lets you move your ball half a mile sideways to avoid casual water, why can't they let you move you ball half an inch to putt of a decent piece of green?

Maybe because they don't want to see you go around the circle until you have a straight putt?

Full disclaimer, I found this on Instagram and cut the portion out with the original poster, but it is concerning to me if this is legit and not doctored.

We are talking about her moving the ball slightly from where she picked it up. Given this picture with the lines mapped at the left of the logo and the bottom of the cup, the camera angle is most certainly more up and to the right. This much movement could certainly make it look like the ball was moved further than it was.

Anyway, found it interesting and I think it's worth discussion. When you super zoom these things to the point where the picture gets fuzzy, are we really sure how accurate they are? Especially trying to judge 3D movement on a 2D plane?

Look at the "F" in the NBC Logo spelling GOLF. It appears to be doctored to me as if the they just photoshopped out the right edge of the screen shot. The "F" looks cut off ever so slightly to me. Wish it was legit however, cause she got screwed.

I finally got around to watching the video...Lexi clearly marked her ball in a different place. She marked her ball on the side and replaced the ball in front of the coin, as if trying to avoid a spike mark or a bump. She either knowingly marked her ball wrong or she is the dumbest golfer in LPGA history. There is no other option.

I first thought that the penalty being called a day later was a chicken ish thing to do (and I still don't believe she should have been penalized for signing an incorrect scorecard, as it was correct when she signed it). But, now I just think she was cheating and trying to get away with it.

On the bright side, signing an incorrect card used to be a DQ. She still had the opportunity to win a tournament in which she got caught cheating.

Her playing partner should have called her out on the spot, though. It was that obvious. (And, calling her out might have allowed her to win the golf tournament).

I think she was just being to casual about what she did. Also.. she made a bad choice in marking her ball from a 90* angle instead of getting behind it to mark it properly. It's much easier to replace it incorrectly if you are at an angle than if you are right behind the marker lined up with the hole. Dumb mistake indeed and one she will not likely make again.

As a post script... I don't believe anyone can be serious about believing she was cheating or trying to on an 18" putt.

You are allowed relief from casual water on the green. And last I knew you were not allowed free relief from a depression in the fairway.
