I get more and more concerned about the disregard that professional golfers have for alligators. They're not exactly walking over and nudging the neighbors lab.

 

Other than the cost factor, why don't golf courses and real estate developments relocate the alligators to a more appropriate marsh area?

 

You are more than 100 times more likely to be injured or killed by a someones pet dog than an alligator.

 

Go poke a few alligators and see if that stat holds up.

This format seems a success. I'm sure they will build on this and we'll see another "2nd" tier tournament try a team format.

 

My guess is that in the years to come we will see some Dream Team pairings that will make us all weep with nostalgia...Tiger/Phil or Couples/Love or some younger player pairing up with a Champions Tour age mentor.

Back before the Tour was year round there were all manner of "silly season" events in the late fall. I never understood the appeal then and still don't. Roughly the equivalent to watching spring practice "games" for college football teams IMO.

What is old is now new again. This generation of players and fans don't remember the old timey team events or even the Wendy's 3-Tour Challeneg or the Asahi Glass Four Tour Challenge.

 

There were a bunch of team events going back to the 40s-50s and those wins count as Tour wins for Hogan, Nelson, Snead etc....
