Any Nike Rzn Black users still?

I don't notice dif between that little compression, but sometimes the covers "feel" harder by way of sound. Old ProV1x vs Srixon XV (roughly same compressions) but the prov1x felt like a rock, just because of the massive click off the putter face.

Supersoft total opposite... with a softer insert on putter, it's almost totally mute.

Well, gotta say... those Platinum balls were awesome. I was using Supersofts most of the day, but then took the RZN out for the last few holes. It felt just as soft off the face, but spun up way more around greens, but lost no distance, maybe even gained distance, off the tee. I could see myself gaming these til supplies run out, then probably go back to supersoft or chrome soft.

So...These balls are stupid long off the tee... But I can't putt with them to save my life.

I'm talking three ~340 yard drives with roll. But, again, 2 putt and more 3 putts than what I'm used to.

Dad always said, "Drive for show. Putt for dough". So as much as I enjoy smashing the ball a mile, if I can't putt them then I don't want them.

I told my instructor (best friend) I was putting bad and he said "it's the Indian not the arrow"

I only somewhat agree with this when it comes to the "feel" of something. while a better player may be able to adjust and make any equipment work, it's quite possible that different equipment may suit a particular player more naturally.

if there was no difference in equipment then we wouldn't have choices. the first to market would be the be all and end all of that market.

I think ball can affect putting. If a ball is super mushy feeling, you may have a harder time lag putting and/or very short putts due to lack of "feedback". Same with a very hard clicky ball... May struggle to dial in distances when it feels like a total rock.

However, after enough time you should be able to adjust.

Oh for sure. I'm just spitting opinion, is all. I am fortunate enough to have really gained an appreciation for golf just within the last couple years and there being a variety of options with compression, different ball layers, etc. etc. Once I tried the TP5 and Chromesofts and a few other softer feeling balls off the putter, I was hooked and I feel like I adjusted my game to suit them. THe clicking and tinging off my putter face just doesn't feel good now.

Very true. Every player should be able to adjust within a round or two of their only available equipment. What's the saying? If you don't adjust then nothing will change?

How is the RZN white?

I'm getting a good deal on the RZN tour blacks in the volt color and still using them mostly, but the white at my local shop is half the price.

I actually am to the point where I prefer the rzn black over a Pro V1. I lose some spin with greenside shots, but I'm so used to how it responds off everything else. I love that I'm the only guy in my group rocking the yellow ball too, easier to point it out.

my understanding is that the speed white and red are 3 piece with ionomer covers where the speed white is softer and higher spinning like the tour plat. and the speed red more like the tour black

edit: obviously the comparison of the white vs red is like the plat vs black. in no way was I comparing the white to the plat.

For me the ball just works. It's nothing I can point specifically to as far as trackman stats or similar quantitative numbers are concerned and say I get 10 yards more off the tee, and 300 more RPMs of spin around the green though. But I know when I played the ball back in 2015 I had the best year of my life. I pulled it out again last weekend and had the best 9 hole score I've ever had shooting under par for the first time in my life. If I could find more of that 2015 versions I'd scoop them up in a second.

I just decided to buy some RZN platinum practice versions from Dunham's and I have a question for you guys. They seem to have two different versions. Both say RZN platinum, but one is a red number, and one is blue. Are these actually the same ball?

I haven't played Nike ball in 10 years, but this seems like a crazy deal.

I bought some RZN Tour Black because of this thread and I'm very impressed. I had a shot that was 200 yards out and I had to clear the top of a tree. I knew my 5h would clear the tree but figured I'd end up 30 yards short of green. I made great contact and couldn't believe I ended up on the front of the green. I dismissed it as a lucky flyer until i got to a par 5 and hit the longest drive I ever have, just over 280 yards. I don't know if it's the ball or I ate my Wheaties today but whatever it is, I'm liking the ball.

The black was great, definitely long off the tee. I preferred a little more touch around the green so I stuck with the platinum, but the black is right there as well if you want a little longer off the tee.

It's also a touch better in the wind than the platinum in my opinion. Loved both though.

I had played the platinum previously and liked it but it's not as long as the rzn tour black.
