Raiders vs Broncos should be interesting. Raiders started the season picking up where they left off last year before Carr went down, but got man-handled in DC last week. A. Cooper has been invisible in the first 3 games. Denver looked great vs Dallas, but not so much vs Buffalo. CJ Andersen needs a big day. A W is big in what could be a tight race. I like the Raiders if they can get pressure on Simien.

Game of the week may be Monday night when the Missouria take on the Powhatan Nation. I like KC and their Cerberus-like attack of Hunt, Kelce, and Hill, but Wash played well on both sides of the ball last week. Should be entertaining!

Lions win 28-7. Dont know why just feel like Minnesota is overrated

Patriots bounce back after a sluggish last week 38-24

Jets win 20-17

Steelers win 31-20

Texans win 21-17

Chargers are due. They win 28-27 in a close one

Giants are due as well. 20-17

No Crabtree for Raiders so I take Denver 14-10

Seahawks suck this year, but Colts suck worse. 27-14 Seattle

I was a regular here on the NFL thread (WRX19th hole) all of last season. I am here to tell you that CommerceTiger had no competition

when it came to picks. He threw up a few plays each week and was an impressive prognosticator all year long. Hell he was white hot for I think a seven week stretch ( like 85% correct) I played his picks repeatedly and won so much cash I bought a new GTI.

His knowledge of the pro game is quite strong and it enables him to be a savvy prognosticator.

Will he repeat this year as the clear winner regarding picking NFL game winners?

I would have to predict yes. So a tip of the cap to Commerce Tiger for his impressive record last season.

 

 

other things to note:

 

He is a huge Falcons fan and will show bias sometimes, so maybe be a tad extra cautious when betting an ATL game.

I think he believes Matty Ice is better the Arron "GOD" Rogers.

I was lying above in regards to winning so much cash I bought a new Volkswagen.

Minn is good, they win by 4, stafford has a valiant comeback attempt but comes out short

Seahawks win in a rout, Brisset looked good last week but in Seattle at night is a completely different animal.

Broncos win comfortably, they'll move the ball against the oakland d, and as long as siemian doesn't do dumb stuff again should score regularly. Denver outgained buffalo by 100 yards last week, two horrible int's and a dumb penalty call took them out of it

I want one SB win while they're still the Oakland Raiders. I'd love it to be this year but there are too many unknowns regarding their defense... especially up the middle (DT's, LB's, and safeties). The offense should be pretty sick though. This is probably the best OL that Marshawn has ever ran behind in his career and even if he turns out to be too worn out to be effective, I like the Richard/Washington scatback combo with the rookie Elijah Wood being our thumper. Our passing attack should be even better with an actual pass-catching TE now (Cook from GB).

Raiders will carry their weight in the division even if it is the forth toughest schedule.

So, with the first quarter of the season completed, which of the following teams are legit playoff contenders?:

 

Rams - Highest scoring team in NFL. Todd Gurley playing at an elite level. Goff playing MUCH better than last year - 7 TDs, 1 INT. Nice road win vs Cowboys. Defense has been one of the worst, but should improve under Wade Phillips.

 

Bills - Has been one of the top rushing teams the past few years. Also, one of the worst passing teams - Taylor is not a good passer and the WRs are no threat. Scoring defense is the best in the NFL. "Upset" wins over the Broncos and the Falcons. Held the Panthers to 9 pts in their only loss.

 

Texans - Barely made the playoffs in a weak division last year with an anemic offense and an elite defense. They looked to be the same team this year, scoring 9 and 13 points in their 1st 2 games. Enter Deshuan Watson, and they score 33 and 57. Crazy! The division seems to be weak again, but the Texans could easily be 3-1 if not for Tom Brady doing Tom Brady things in week 3. Will Watson fall back to Earth or will the Texans run away with the division?

 

Panthers - They missed the playoffs last year with a 6-10 record, but already have half that win total. Wins over the Patriots and the Bills. Offense hasn't looked very explosive this year. The run game relies on 30 y/o J. Stewart. Newton is averaging 220 passing yds/gm (21st), and has thrown 5 TDs and 5 INTs. The Panthers best weapon, Greg Olsen, will be on IR for about 4-6 more weeks. The defense has been one of the best (T6), giving up only 17.5 pts/gm (in all-or-nothing fashion - 3, 3, 34, 30, LOL!).

I like Houston winning at home against the Chiefs. KC with the short week so I will take the Texans plus one point.

Finally I will lay the 3 points and say the Cowboys get it done at home. Green Bay only has won like 55% of their road games the last two seasons.

GB has no run attack to speak of either.

Rogers is a freakin competitor, man. Fearless. Guy is end zone all the way. What passion. He made that 1st down and he was like a kid in a schoolyard.

 

This is why football is the greatest.

Well NFC East

Take notice of this Philly defense. The Eagles play well on offense too. Heck I didn't know until tonight's broadcast

that the Eagles lead the league in 3rd down conversions. Pretty big statement win on the road tonight I think.

Philly is tough no doubt. I love their coach. Loved him in KC. They have a ton of weapons at reciever. Always seem to sign the good defensive free agents. If they get a legit RB during the off season it will be a few good years for them.
