Crossfield and Lockey are hysterical! They seem like guys I would play with. I find them much more entertaining than Shiels and Finch who give me a to cool for school vibe.

 

I especially find Crossfield and companies matches against pros to be very entertaining.

 

I am also interested in what sort of dough they make doing this. Anybody have a guess?

I prefer Crossfield over Shiels/Finch. The biggest clown has to be Rob Potter, though. Very brand-biased in his reviews.

 

I realize that I'm way late to the party, but honestly, Rob Potter's reviews are completely worthless based on his biases. I was watching a few this morning because he is closer to my area code in terms of swing speed and his opinions were almost laughable. Very dismissive of certain brands regardless of the results while always being overly impressed with anything from his favorite manufacturer or anything that catches his fancy at first blush. Just a waste of bandwidth! :glare:

I just dropped over here and I suppose I am way late to the party as well....but I try to take input from Shiels and Crossfield ....and many others prior to squeezing the trigger on a new purchase. I really don’t pay attention to number of followers. I do listen to what they have to say. If I think it is rubbish for me, I listen to part of it. If I think it is great, I listen to part of it. It is all just input for decision making.

Club reviews go to Shiels. On course vlogs to Crossfield. I think Crossfield can overtake Shiels again if he would use more simulator data and shot the ball flight on the screen.

It's not even close any more. Crossfield is now at 256K and Shiels is now at 348K. Shiels is killing it!

Shiels has stepped up his review game this year, more professional looking with both simulator and on the course data.

 

From a non-review youtube standpoint, No Laying Up is putting out some good content, their Australian golf travel series was great.

when i'm watching crossfields vlogs, that i enjoy, i think to myself all the time that he has a attention deficit syndrome. it's always kinda "say it was a good shot" and that look at me kind of vibe. yes. he is the face and owner of the channel, but please, relax just a little bit.

I think Michael Newton is doing the best club reviews at the moment, Shiels & Finch’s Carnoustie par 10 or what ever it was challenge was entertaining. Crossfield - no thanks.

Crossfield comes off as stubborn and "look at me" and surrounds himself with yes men which really puts me off....but I watch every single video he puts out haha. I think his on course club reviews are pointless (but admittedly entertaining) for youtube viewing - you need to eliminate variables to get a good sense of how one club or any product golf or otherwise performs compared to something else. Don't like Rick's new style of reviews - I prefer him to hit shots live on a monitor and give his feedback as the ball comes off the club. I prefer Michael Newton's reviews at this point for the above reasons.

Also - Crossfield for some reason feels entitled to free equipment from every manufacturer and has thrown a complete fit over taylormade no longer sending him gear. Get over yourself BRUH. rant complete
