Every tournament I follow from this mob the scoring is terrible - it's co sanctioned with the ALPGA and they don't even have a leaderboard at all and the normally reliable Golf Channel don't have the scores updated either.

Belen probably needs a top 15 finish just to retain partial card ( top 125 on money list ) for next year. For a full card (top 100) , she'll need a top 5 finish.

 

The same goes for another fan's favourite , The Rocket Hee Young Park . She's in about the same position as Belen.

 

As badly as NYC has played all year, I believe she'll have full status next year because of her multiple wins 3 years ago.

The TV coverage was very poor and did not give a good perspective on the holes. It also seems a bit inept to take the metres length as yards when both measures are given. Sunday has gale force winds and rain predicted.

Golf Channel isn't even trying with their video editing, watching the tape delay right now and they showed Brooke, Nicole and Jody Tee Off on the 5th hole then they go to commercial and they back and the same group is tee off 10 ...........lol

I was standing in the players area about 400m from the 13th tee when an enormous roar erupted this afternoon which was Belen making a hole in one. Unfortunately for her the Infiniti sports car up for grabs is only for the weekend. The crowds have been impressive the first 2 days, walking onto the first tee and seeing that many people about to watch you hit was an awesome experience.

I would be nice to see Belen get the win, but over the course of 4 rounds she usually has that one 76 in her game. I think Madelene Sagstorm could be a darkhorse for the win.

Great second round but shame about missing the cut, stats on the LPGA site say 62 putts for 2 rounds, if only a few more had dropped.

I finally got to watch the 1st round coverage last night. It's weird being a round behind between the time zone difference and timeshifting.

 

I thought the course looked great. The wetlands/marshes looked nice. Did I hear correctly? Was the course farmland before they turned it into a course, implying that the wetlands are man-made? Few people know that Whistling Straits was a flat farm field before Kohler and Dye bulldozed it into The Straits.

Glad to see former Big Breaker and fellow SoCal native Emily Tubert having a good tournament. She's a really nice girl and has a very good game but like a lot of people has found the transition to professional golf difficult. It would be big boost to her confidence to get a good result here.

Thanks, did too much damage on the back 9 Thurs arvo in the wind. Hit a couple poor shots that cost me after playing steady to that point. The putter has always been my Achilles heel and really needs to improve but made a run at it yesterday with a few lips outs coming in. I was trying to get it to +2 to give myself a chance but the arvo brought calm conditions and the +1's only just scrapped in. The Thurs morning/Fri arvo players easily got the best side of the draw but that's golf and i should have executed better Thurs arvo.

I remember her from one of those "co-ed" edition of BB. She hit it so far that even the guys would avoid picking her for a match.

She's tall, thin and has a big arc and yes she can move it. I saw it in person when she played the Symetra Volvik event at my then home course Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont, CA. She reached the par 5 9th in two (which was playing probably about 530) with an iron in for her second. It's a bit of an elevated tee but still.....

She also hit the most incredible fairway bunker shot I've ever witnessed in person on number 12. She's got skills for sure but pro golf's a tough game. She was great fun to be around and talk to though.
