Dear Taylormade: This is getting ridiculous - 7 cracked M2 series woods (3 drivers 4 3woods)

I cracked a 2016 M2 driver and a tour issue M2 3 wood. I've since gone to a Cobra LTD and that thing is a rocket. Also have my trusty 3 deep. Not sure why the fairways keep cracking in what you would think would be one of the stronger areas, low face.

I have cracked 3 clubs ever and all after years of use. Not quite at this level today but my swing speed with the driver used to be around 118-122. I hit a million range balls and they are rock junk. This has nothing to do with the balls or the mats or contact location...these clubs are flawed. Period. I have had a biocell+ 3 wood for 6 years and beat the tar out of it and it looks brand new. I would never use them again if that happened to me more than once. That’s faulty manufacturing not user error at this point.

Here is my TaylorMade M6 3-Wood that cracked just last night. I bought the club brand new about 3 months ago. It sounds like I'll be getting shipped a new one? The club is only dirty after a range session - I take great care of my clubs. This definitely wasn't fun to have happen but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!

My friend has a TaylorMade 3-Wood that he has had for 15 years and hasn't had this problem. Could this be a new issue with TaylorMade? If it cracks again I'll most likely switch to a different brand.

I cracked my M2 3w a few weeks ago, TM sent me a new M6 3w. Great warranty service.

Just one more reason to love my 2015 SLDR-C Driver.....It's way more durable, in addition to being long, straight, forgiving, and easy-to-hit!

Have had similar issues across some manufacturers and models. They were mostly purchased via retail stores and they mostly replaced them under warranty. That said, if the same thing happened repeatedly the manufacturer would sometimes say that they would no longer replace it (they thought I was practicing too much, had a higher swing speed, using hard range balls, etc... Either way, they thought it was out of design parameters). The main issue is whether this is a QC/QA problem or a design problem. If it's a design problem there's not much you can do aside from switching to something else. A local clubmaker told me if I wanted to avoid this problem switch to long drive clubheads which had better warranties and higher tolerances or else pick clubhead designs that were known or seemed to be more "solid" (that means no speed slots, minimizing weak points, using clubheads which were known to have thicker walls, etc...).

Was your ball made of dynamite? Wow! I’d be walking tall after that strike haha. Closest comparison for me was losing the head off a driving 3i Cally blade after it broke off at a crowded driving range

 I just had my M2 3 wood crack in exactly the same way. I haven't used it a lot so I was super dissappointed.
