(NO POLITICS) Nike Footwear for 2018

I wear 13's in nikes across all sports. 71's are a tad small but still fit just fine. I actually prefer it as my heel slips less but I also have long narrow heel/foot with a wide toe box. Heel slippage is my bane in all shoes, let alone golf shoes.

Did anyone else find the TW71s to run very small for size? I usually wear 11.5 in Nike but even the 12s were too short for my foot. I've never needed a 12.5 in anything. Did I grab a bad pair?

 

I wear a 12 in all nike shoes and i bought a pair in white and they were way too small, so I sent them back. It sounds like they just run smaller than other nike shoes.

 

They definitely fit a bit more snug than the LCV2. This isn't bad for me though. I'm a 12.5/13 so i normally have no choice but a 13 so the 71 works out great.

I think the "straps" aren't actually straps in a velcro sense...they are just one piece rubber connected on both sides. I'm guessing these are gonna be slip on/off type shoes with a BOA system, but I obviously don't know that for a fact.

 

it's weird they haven't said anything about them though.

For my fellow Canadians, if any of you are interested in the grey Zoom Direct, Precision, or Accurate, they're on sale on Nike's Canadian site. I just got the Direct for $126 plus tax and ebates is at 6%.

My boss ran a sales promotion this week and we hit the goal and we get a pair of shoes from Nike. Any thoughts on the Zoom Direct? I'm really liking the grey pair since I already have the white TW71 and an all black pair of Adidas Adipure.

 

I just got my pair of Zoom Directs.....no bueno for me. They felt super tight on the outside of my foot and the heel was super loose. They fit me like the LCV 1...which was no good either. And also due to whatever they’re made out of, they feel wicked stiff. They look fantastic but they’ll be getting returned Tomm. I’m bummed but I’ll just stick with my LCV2’s which fit perfectly.

 

I got mine in today and they are an awesome looking shoe. You are spot on about them being stiff and a little tight near the balls of the feet. The heel isn't all that loose for me but it does slide just a bit when I walk which isn't a deal breaker. I have confidence once they break in they will feel really good.

They are the new Tour Premiers. They’re not out yet. I talked to a Nike rep back in the fall and he mentioned these shoes. They were planned to be the TW ‘18, but then the name got changed as his future was questionable. I don’t know that he had seen them, but he heard that they were somehow “self-lacing,†most likely just don’t have laces. Highest tech shoe they have put out in a while. I think they might be releasing soon after the Masters, but that’s a guess from me.

Yup im always a 10.5 in nike except the TW14's i was 10, I got a 10.5 in the 71's they killed my feet i returned them and an 11 is on the way.

The version in that link is actually a "wide".

 

This is an odd release, seems like an odd color for a Masters edition also.

 

I just hope the white comes in "wide", want to try these out.

Called it earlier in a different thread. Internal hidden tension straps. Interesting concept. What happens if or when the straps elasticity begins to degrade. Or if you’re like me and already close the laces up pretty tight in most Nike shoes, and have a lot of excess strap at the top? Hmm

I was able to work a deal with a guy who works for Nike. He gave me a killer deal if I bought both pairs from him, I had to do it... I had to get both versions, so sick! I also had to share this with all of my Nike boys on here. I’m so stoked!
