What 1/4 zip is Rory rocking today ?

 

Almost certain this is it. Only difference is that his had the Tour Issue chest swoosh.

what do you guys think of woods wearing a nike hat, and not his TW hat?

 

I remember back at the height of his TW logo branding and his amazing playing on course, TW use to go TW hat Thursday Friday and then go to the Swoosh hat for the weekend.

 

I like him mixing it up. Also hope NDC drops the TW Swoosh Classic 99 hat for us mere mortals!

The old story behind it (supposedly...could have been made up) was that Tiger wore the TW logo on the front on Thurs/Fri so people would see who was chasing them. Then TW on the back of the cap on Sat/Sun so everyone else could see who was leading.

 

Made up or not, that's a really cool story/explanation

That would be a cool story. I wouldn't be amazed if Tiger's PR team had actually thought that up.

Was anyone else kind of annoyed that Nike made the players wear the same scripted colors for the Masters. With all of the options and players they have, to have them all pretty much match seemed very weird and commercial.

Edit: the description does say it is "Slim Fit" down below, but that description is for a different shirt. Notice the "blade collar" reference which this shirt definitely does not have (and the name in the description doesn't match)

I thought the dark colors for "storm brewing", light colors for "calm before the storm", blue for "clear skies" and pink for "The Azaleas at Augusta National" scripting plan was a little too much. It is especially awkward if two of their athletes get paired together (in contention especially) and they look like they intentionally picked the same shirt to wear. I don't blame Rory for not taking that white pullover off all round even though it had warmed up.

Yeah, I edited my post when I saw that. Looks like somebody didn't proof read the text they copied over from another product description. You'd think they'd pay a little more attention to the shirt the Masters winner wore all week. That shirt is definitely Standard Fit though - although I think Patrick may have sized up an extra size on top of that.

Well his was definitely not slim fit. Haha. If he's going to insist on wearing such a baggy size, they should at least make him custom ones with shorter sleeves so he doesn't have to keep pulling them up. It looks so sloppy when he keeps pulling them up and folding them at the shoulder. Then again, maybe that's just a habit of his and he'll do it no matter what.

As a fat guy, I can confirm we size up so that our bellys and man boobs don't show as much, so the sleeves and shoulders are much wider than the torso, hence the sleeves look like they're flapping in the wind and very baggy. My sleeves do the same thing when I get larger shirts.

 

Edit: I saw him doing that and was like "Hey! If a fatty like him can go pro...hmmm"

I don't think he got them cut to his liking. previously all his shirts were shorter on the sleeve. hopefully nike cuts them for him because it did look funky but may be a habit of his.

Haha, copy and paste fail. I hate when they use generic descriptions that could apply to any shirt. I wish they would at least make comparisons to their other shirts like "this is our thinnest shirt" or "most breathable" or "mid-weight" or something. So often I see a shirt in store and it's nothing like I imagined it would feel like.

I have the ocean bliss/Thunder blue polo. I am no where near slim nor does the polo fit slim. I'll be picking up the Red/Black polo that's on sale now for $41.97.

Yeah idk it just seemed like a giant commercial for Nike. pushing shirts and clothes that don't fit their players or style. I love Nike clothes but I think the scripting was a giant miss this past week. What even was Fleetwood wearing on Friday...Seriously 5 different tones of grey. At Augusta of all places.

That collar was popped up in the back for the whole day. I kept waiting for his caddie to fix it for him - but nope. I thought it was strange that he wore it like that all day.

This is why I do it sometimes...when I feel the sun beating down even with sunscreen on, I flip it up.

It's folded over in the front bc it's hard for a collar to stay popped while playing golf. It's not a specific look. I put mine up to block my neck sometimes, and the front always ends up folded over.

some shirts\collars are more likely to lay this way also. I was not saying anything wrong with it, just rarely see it other than Rory for some reason.
