I agree but I’m a little leery of making assumptions. I’d hate to find out they pulled all of the Rogues and put in a bunch of old Graffaloy Pro Lite 35 and UST Pro Forces!

Yeah because they are going to go to all that work over a $120 driver, to sell a pulled shaft they might get $100 for, and then put in other shafts they have lying around? Fat chance. Inventory and logistics nightmare. Not worth the hassle. The Triton came with a Rogue 125, a HZRDUS Yellow or Red, a Fujikura Pro 58, and a Matrix SpeedRULZ 50 Type-A. Regardless of what you get, you're going to be ahead of the game for the price you paid.

I understand and my tongue was firmly planted in my cheek. However, it still doesn't answer the question of what shaft is in them. Those are all quality shafts but vastly different.

No specifics provided on shaft model

A few ways to find out. Call them, email them, or buy one and take the gamble. Picture shows white, betting its Rogue 125. That was the "stock" shaft anyways.

Odds of them taking answering a call or email on a Sunday... I’d say, unlikely. By the time they’d respond, the “flash sale” would likely be over.

If nothing else, I’m just pointing out that it is fairly odd that they didn’t list the specifics, in the first place. Regardless, if one just wanted the shaft, Tritons can be picked up from eBay for less than $100 shipped.

I don't know the size/maginude of the Hurricane Golf operation.....and even if there was someone working on Sunday...I kind of doubt he/she who picked up the phone...... would be able to be able to go into the warehouse to indeed verify the shaft model...unless HG is some small ma & pa operation.

Not mom & pop but a small company of around 20 employees. Hurricane Golf is a sister company to Diamond Tour Golf. HG would be the OEM side and DTG the component side.

their ebay store has the triton listed with Aldila Rogue 60.....I assume it's the 125msi that they are going to have in stock.

If you buy the driver...will your brother help your sell the driver head on the BST?...I assume like other purchasers ...you only want the Rogue shaft.

:taunt:

Damn, that's cold KBong...funny as hell though.

Played this all last season and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I think it plays SUPER long stock though like actual playing length in inches.

Was fully prepared to game it this season until I hit the G400 lol.

What made you decide to pick up the G400? You should look into the Callaway XR16 Pro, as well.

Well played. Haha

Don’t count out the Triton. Pretty much EVERY driver manufacturer was head over heels for the Triton, except Wilson.

One advantage to Triton is that you can take off the plate and put cotton balls/bubble wrap into the head. It will feel/sound 1000 times better.

Bunch of clubs

Who was? We couldn't give them away, even at $200 CAD ($380 off). The thing was a dog. If other OEMs were excited about it, it's probably because they knew Wilson had a lame duck on their hands and didn't need to worry about it. It had a lot of press, so if it worked well, the other guys were going to be in trouble. It had nothing but failure after failure. The Pivot or whatever was the better product, Streelman liked it better too and it got better numbers, yet somehow the Triton won. The adjustable sole plate did almost nothing in terms of performance (I tried it for several people and no difference really). Not to mention the sound, feel, and questionable aesthetics (seriously, who decided a massive white stripe was a good idea?) also were not welcomed. Then it was deemed illegal. Then it was off the shelf when the hype was the highest. Then it came at a price point that was ridiculous for a Wilson driver because they had to make up for the $400 shafts they put into the thing, when honestly, most Wilson Staff guys aren't going to know a HZRDUS Yellow from a black-pained pool noodle. Harsh, but true...they are a value brand with a very small cult following in the forged market, that's it.

I tried to like it. I really did. It looked like my old Spine that I used to just crush...except for the stripe. However, when I tried it, the ball speed was pathetic, even compared to my 3 year old Ping. It looked bad, sounded worse, was short, and spun like mad. I had it set to 8* and it still spun more than most drivers did at 10* for me, regardless of sole plate. I had one guy in the dozens who tried who actually got okay, not great, but okay numbers with it. However, once I got an F7+ in his hands the Triton was left in the dust by about 20y of carry. I knew when to pull it (low spin, seniors) and even then, it failed.

These are definitely going to go down as a monumental failure for them. I have hopes for the C300, it is definitely a visual improvement, but I haven't hit it yet to see if it is still slow in comparison.
