Oakley Flak 2.0 XL vs Oakley Targetline

Has anyone had the chance to compare the Oakley Flak 2.0 vs the new Oakley Targetline for golf? If so, which one did you go with?

I’ve traditionally liked glasses with open frames on the bottom because I was distracted when looking down. Interesting that they think they fixed this with a deeper lense on the targetline

I like a semi rimless frame too. I can’t decide between the Flak 2.0 XL or the new Targetline. None of the stores in my area have the Targetline yo try unfortunately..

Got the targetline never liked the Flax a little nerdy for me. Target line hugs temple and has great coverage will a hat does not interfere..

i have half jacket 2.0 with prizm golf that i like a lot but i wouldn't mind trying the target line with the prizm dark.

My half jackets do bump against my hat

I had the flak jackets, replaced them with the targetline with Oakley RX Prism Golf lenses. I love them. I've had ton's of Oakley's over the last 20 years or so and these are by far my favorite. They're very comfortable and very light.

Did you go with the regular or dark in the prism lenses?

Regular. Didn't even know the dark was a thing until a couple of days ago. I prefer lighter lenses though so I probably would have gone with the regular anyway.

Yes, these have a rubber nose area made of unobtainium.

Just got a pair of Targetlines in the mail to try today, for the same reasons people don't like the Flak's. I found the Flak's to fit fine, but nerdy looking and the lenses did cutoff short in my field of vision. Honestly it didnt bother me much, until the Targetline ads told me it did. Target line fits my face well in terms of grip, the rubber nosepiece is key... the arms are slightly shorter too to fit under hats. The lenses are deeeeep, not sure if I will keep them as my face is kinda smallish. All in all they do what they say they will.

Revising my initial post... wore them home driving, and then hit a few shots in back yard. I got the sapphire prizm lens, which so far looks good. Not see through like prizm golf, but still a contrast lens. Light today was very cloudy, but I had no trouble seeing contrast. The longer lens is great for lining up shots, and since it doesn't touch my cheeks at all I'm happy with it. Looks ok on my face too, with some style, which is a necessary evil with sunglasses.

I’ve got both and like both. The one benefit of the target line is that you can wear them off the course. I got jade prizm lenses.

I'm a Flak 2.0 guy through and through. Easy to wear, easy to throw on the back of your hat if the clouds come over, always stay where you want them. They're more sporty looking, which I like, but seems to be out of vogue currently, but the convenience is so nice.

Definitely, these are just part of my revamping for the next few years. The Flaks served me well, but all things evolve eventually.

Somebody ought to tell Oakley that it looks like they reversed the Without Lenses and the With Prizm for the Prizm Dark Golf in the little slider comparison tool.
