So I'm here to report some disappointment. So a buddy and I went and rented the full PXG set (Driver, 3 & 5 fairway, 3 hybrid, 4-PW, 52,56, 62 and Brandon putter). Here is my opinion and what I thought with my current setup.... WILL SAY PXG HAS AMAZING QUALITY IN THE HEADCOVERS!!

Driver: DID NOT LIKE!! Though I will say, it may have not been a fair comparison with my '17 M2. The PXG driver was a 10.5 with the aldila blue stiff shaft. Pretty sure the 1 degree loft difference REALLY took away my length, compared to my 9.5 M2. I was coming up QUITE a bit shorter and the sound in my opinion was terrible in the PXG. Also after having an M2, I am really a fan more than I thought, of the white on carbon fiber crown. Oh and as I stated earlier GRIPS SUCK!! After having NDMC I'll NEVER go to anything else!! With the P.O.S Lamkin Z5 grips I really felt the club was going to fly out of my hands!!

Fairway Woods: I DID LIKE!! These were monsters, good sound and length. No issues to complain about other than THE GRIPS and I prefer the crown look of the M2 instead of the solid black of the PXG.

Hybrid: I DID LIKE!! Monster, felt amazing!! Grips suck!!

Irons: JUST OKAY! 0311 with KBS TOUR 120 STIFF, well performing irons, for me though if I was going to buy maybe a little higher ball flight shaft. Irons were good and performed, but not sure they are worth jumping on yet. Maybe more something to thing about. Grips suck!!

Wedges: DID NOT LIKE!! For me WAY to big and fat compared to my SM6 wedges!! For me nothing to like! Grips suck!

Putter: Was ok, aloft different than my 2.5. This Brandon had the plumbers neck, not a fan, and was taller. So not really fair to judge. Headcover was SUPER nice and I loved the Flatso 1.0 grip!

Overall to me, I'm just not ready to pull the trigger yet, would though on the Fairway and hybrid. I think I would be better off trying a driver more with my specs and loft, though to judge fair on it. The clubs are nice no doubt just can't do it yet.

OH one more thing, the PXG bag was awesome that they came in, IF, it was an individual divider top!! Why they ask so much money for the clubs and bags and don't have a top configuration like that is beyond me.

Again these are all my opinions only, so to each their own.

FedEx ran at 8:30 this morning! Perfect timing for my 12 Friday game! Christmas in August. Now I need a hybrid and 4DI or XF and maybe a 3 wood?

Was the bat attack in the Darkness version available through the program?
yes they are. I think the operator is all that isn’t included.

Really struggling with hybrids. I’m going with a 4i XF

my current 4i is goes only 190. I don’t use woods. I have a 17° and want a 17 hybrid from PXG as my (wood) or longest club. No clue how far I will hit it but my current 17° goes 230 (buy in no particular direction). Do I need a 19° that has a high ball flight that could land on greens? The 4i XF is 20.5°. But will they be too close in distance? Or naw? Thoughts?

For military identification do you need to do online verification and place order online or can you verify over the phone?

Either. However, I tried to give them my military DD 214 info and they never even asked. Odd.

So no one needs to worry about these being resold on the BST. PXG terms and conditions forbid it.

Wow. That’s like the PING discount stories we’ve all heard about.

Hate to break it to you Bobert but once I purchase your irons, you have literally zero say as to what I do with them. Our contract is complete and I am the sole owner of them.

Don’t get me wrong, that’s great that they are doing that because not many other companies do, but in the end they are paying what? The cost of a brand new set of current gen irons? Although I can see some O’s taking advantage of this, because your avg E6 and below can’t afford this stuff.

Is the Gen2 SGI irons through Heroes for $125 an iron?

I think they are more. But discounted. Sorry on a plane or I’d check.

From $700 to $175 is a bit steep. I just went on there and the darkness isnt offered. You can do a black shaft though.

Sometimes they don't have it on the site. The driving iron is a good example. I had to call to place my 2i order. I was hoping someone actually ordered the BAT limited at discount.

This is what I see. Some offer the option between black and chrome.

Thanks but I think the limited edition Darkness is more than just a diff color but also stamped with Parson's USMC unit. Very diff putter overall.

Did I read that right you got a new GEN 2 driving iron in the HERO program? I thought it was the SGI GEN 2 only.

Thanks

I can only confirm that i was able to order a driving 2i with the Hero Program. I'll just assume it's Gen1 due to it being available at the same cost as a normal Gen1 iron.

Mine was a Gen1 2 iron, but the Project X Evenflow shaft was available with it. Just came in the mail today.
