2018 ShopRite LPGA Classic Jun 08-10

Not a fan of the Langer Method. Looks like Annie's anchoring to me but I guess it depends on the camera angle.

So far two players have smashed the 30-year tournament record, which indicates the LPGA is setting the course up even easier than in the past. Next year they should put a windmill over the 18th hole.

This course lacks any real teeth unless its windy and the greens are firm. The course is very short and very easy if the wind and bugs aren't a factor. This year we've had a ton of rain so the greens were more receptive than in some of the previous years.

You really can't set up this course any more difficult than what they do. It has par 5s that the women can easily reach from the tips and a number of really short par 4s. If the PGA played a tournament on this course it would have to be an irons only event even playing from the tips.

They should try holding it down the street at Galloway National.

So in other words, the LPGA sets up courses just like the PGA does :taunt:

If the cut line stays at -1....looks like it will be 3 missed cuts in a row for Namdalla...5 this year.

If we hear a lot of females cheering when Jin Young Ko makes a birdie next week at the Meijer....it will be the desertion of Sung Hyun Park's Attack Girls to a new fresh face Korean. :taunt:

or they will form a anti-jenn song fanclub

LMAO

Candidate for post of the year.

Few will get this post.

Okay, fill us in so more of us can get it :nyam:

I think the bugs count as teeth.

The tour plays several courses that are situated in windy areas, and if the wind isn't blowing, they become pussycats. The USGA ran into this last year at Erin Hills.

Didn't DJ hit irons off the tee on the final two holes at TPC Southwind yesterday? On 18, he still managed to hole out an 8 or 9 iron for eagle. So, 4i/8i is a par 4?

Went down to watch for a few hours on Friday, it was fun to hang around 17 and watch the short little shots onto the green. As far as the par 3s go im wondering why they played some from the tips (15 and 17) and played 11 from the forward tees? Those were the only par 3s I watched while there. I played 11 a month ago and hit from the raised tee box with a 3 or 4 iron. The LPGA was hitting from the forward box and most seemed to be using hybrids.

A lot of players carry 5 hybrids (175 to 185 yards).
