How is Cantlay not getting penalised?

I don't know if anyone mentioned this or not or even if it will apply to the tour but I believe the USGA and the R&A in their rule changes taking effect in 2019 have changed the rule concerning "having the honors" to try and eliminate some of the slow play issues. So if they play "ready golf" on tour maybe that will help.... couldn't hurt.....IMHO....

Thanks, good stuff. And I think 40% saying they should have a shot clock is pretty dang high.

I'd bet 75% of that 40% say it because they know it will never happen and they want to show pretend they care about POP.

OMG, can you imagine #12 at Augusta (and other similar holes) if there is no set order to play?! They’ll dink around forever waiting for someone else to go first so they can watch how the ball is being affected by the wind!

The fact that 40% say yes put a time clock on us is HUGE. I'm going to bet that if you asked virtually every other working person if they'd want more time constraints on their work it would be close to zero! Right?

Not really. If you figure half are fast and half are slow some of the faster players are still voting for no clock. I just feel a clock does not fit golf. There are going to be situations that call for more time. Especially in tour with crowd control and such.

I'm 100% certain that the PGA Tour will continue to require honors.
