Best Price on Oban CT-115?

I'm considering reshafting my 302's. These don't seem to be widely available. Anyone have suggestions?

Perhaps. My thinking was that us JDM folks might be more informed with regards to Oban products and JDM distributors.

I think club champion sells them. I'm not sure they will sell shafts only They is a seller on ebay.

I hit them tonight at CC and they felt awesome. If I was going to change shafts, this is what I would go to.

Oban isn't JDM; they're based out of Chicago, founded by a white guy and Filipino, and named after their favorite whisky! You should be able to find some dealers and every once in a while they pop up on eBay. I might have a few in here somewhere. Let me check and I'll let you know.

The CT-115 is manufactured by Shimada. At $75 everywhere I look, it doesnt make sense to possibly be paying for a sticker when I could pay nearly half the price for a similar shaft from Shimada that, in my opinion, looks better visually. Numbers have shown that the CT-115 and Shimada Tour perform exactly the same. Even if they manufactured a completely different shaft for Oban, twice the price?? No, thanks. If you love to support the Oban brand and like how they look, I say go for it. Probably won't find a stellar deal on the CT-115 anywhere. $75/pop

^ Absolutely correct. Oban’s top designer left and started VA Composites, which are fantastic shafts.

I live near a shop that carries Oban but not Shimada. But owner said Shimada is sold as Oban as its license holder in the US. So Shimada manufactures Oban shafts and its own Shimada brand. I have Shimada shafts in two Vega wedges and they are tight shafts. Really feel solid and stable. Stiff flex is stiff. They also have a ‘seamless’ manufacturing process to produce spineless shafts.

I want to try their 115g mid shaft.

I had a set of pulled Shimada Tour Mids put in some MP-33 heads and the combo is phenomenal. The next time I build a serious set, It will be Shimada all the way.
