Scotty Cameron sole repair

I have a friend that contracts with ball divers. He brought me about 100 clubs today pulled from po

nds including about a half dozen Camerons, some are ok shape but these 3 have sole deterioration from being in water.

Can I order just the soles because they detach with screws or do I have to send in to Cameron or other repair shop

I can do the work so would like to be able to just order the plates??

They’re basically trash now. Scotty definitely won’t send out parts and even if you sent it into the custom shop they have no way of repairing that nor would they replace those parts. It’s not something they really keep stock of.

man, people get that mad over missed double bogey putts to throw their putters in the pond?

 

if it's just the plate - you could make it work. know anyone with a 3D printer? or even a custom wood/metal plate for the sole would look cool.

You might see if you can pick some putters up used that have the plates in tact that something else is wrong with them? I would also call Scotty's custom shop and see what they can do for you. The worst they can say is nothing...

Naval Jelly to clean up any residue and see what you are left with. Yanki's idea is a good one - I made myself a pair of specs with a 3D printer once. Good luck. :-)

There are people in the industry who could fabricate new sole plates for those putters, but the cost in doing so might be way more than just trying to purchase a beater version off Ebay for the same sole plate.

Wow...gnarly! If the sole plates are the only parts of the putter that are beyond hope, you could get them restored (I had a Golo 3 a while back with a deep scratch in the sole and the CS said I could get the whole putter restored, which would have included a new sole plate...pretty sure).

 

But at that point, you're spending about the same or more than you would on a used version that's in good shape.

I agree, the money it would cost to restore outweighs the value of the putter. Too bad you cant order parts
